What is Tedesco worth?

Halves command the most money and I expect Moses to be right up there based on what he has demonstrated this year.

Dugan is way ahead of Tedesco for the fullback position in SOO. Based on what Dugan has done at SOO he should be just about the first player picked.

Is that you Grant ? How is Adelaide going for you ?

Tedesco will be the first 1,000,000/season player for the club.

They will auction off the leagues club to cover the contract. I say just give him the club.

I have never heard of a team that has been built around a full back.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Being built around the 6, 7 and 9 yes but one …..?

The one when they were moved to six maybe.

Good idea, building our team around the number 9 has been a great success.

Other clubs will offer a minimum 1 Mil. Can we match that, probably we can.

But can we match top 4 finish, SOO and international players, Recruitment, TPA's, Coach. Unlike Farah Brooks and Moses I doubt money alone will get us over the line with Tedesco.

Well Penrith are going to make Moylan a million dollar man

Tedesco would see that and then have a good idea of his worth and would be commanding the same or even higher because he knows he's better than Moylan and worth more

$1.2 million I'd reckon

Probably 900 k cap and 300 k tpas

But if we were basing it on our current highest wage earner and his performances against Teddy's performances I'd say about $5.4 million

Dugan is a long way ahead of Tedesco for SOO. No slight on Tedesco but I'd suggest Wighton is also ahead of Tedesco for SOO due to him being big, very fast and can cover multiple positions.

Halves command more money and Moses will be highly sought after. A great little player now and imo likely to become our best (if he stayts).

You have no idea about the game. Seriously. Wighton who has barely made any impact at club level this season is going to be a better fullback than Tedesco at origin level? Wighton is not "very fast" at all, he's got fairly average pace but some upper body strenght to break tackles (although not anywhere near as well as Tedesco)…and what is the point of being able to cover multiple positions for origin? Get picked for one and play it well.

This whole "origin player" crap is an absolute myth. Good players are good players. True some choke in big games. To that extent "origin players" could be considered players that don't choke in big games. There is nothing to suggest that Tedesco does.

First of all, Tedesco is clearly our best player. Some would argue he is one of the best players in the game. This year he has been in the best form of his short career. He leads nearly all the NRL offensive stats, he's excellent under the high ball, his defense has been superlative and on top of all that he's fearless and an inspiration to his teammates. Have I left anything out? Oh yeah, he's developing into a play maker, just like Hodgson was back in the Wests Tigers glory days.
Tedesco is going to be the hottest player on the market and he's going to be a prize signing for any club that snag him. But he is more valuable to us than anyone else. Actually, we would have been nowhere without him this year and is the only truly elite player we have at the moment. On top of that he's proven, unlike Moses and Brooks. If he's picked for Origin he'll get paid well and we can probably get him for 800-900 a season, perhaps for 4 years. The trouble is, as many have said, he knows what he's worth and he knows what he wants from the game. He wants the cash but he also wants success. The Tigers have to show that him that they are moving in the right direction. Moses has to be extended, Woods, Simona, Sue, Ava and Lawrence have to be kept on and two or three other quality players must be signed. The Tigers should let Brooks go and look for a proper, serviceable first grade halfback. He simply isn't good value. And, of course, it's not ideal but the club will probably have to go looking for another coach again. Taylor MUST be replaced by a tough, successful coach who knows how to build a club and who demands respect from the players and board.
Regarding Origin, Tedesco is exactly the type of player the Blues need ie. Brave, calm under pressure…..game breaker. He and Dugan should both be in the team. Wighton isn't in the same league.....
