I actually thought that the booing was disappointing. Totally understand the emotion people have over the circumstances that have unfolded this week. But I just didn't feel that was necessary.

Apparently he was verbally abused and spat at as well when entering the ground by Wests Tigers fans

while it isnt nice or necessary, passionate **fans will go to lengths to get their message across .. hoping the board will hear them and take notice .. after all, they are the ones forking out the money to keep their team going .. they should be heard** ….

About a month ago I was shot down in flames for posting this:
To me it is worth considering that those fans who don't want to look at stats that show improvement, and don't want to give Jason Taylor the benefit of the doubt re his efforts to build a winning culture, but instead bay for his blood with a short term win at all costs viewpoint, are a big part of the reason WT is in this mess in the first place. Previous administrations have been afraid of the potential backlash from fans and so did whatever it took to try to keep an overpriced playing roster on the field while concealing the mess they created.

I stood by it then and stand by it now.

We have been in the business of sacking coaches for a while now without any success, so we take the other option and have the gall to actually look at the players and the indians start to get restless.

I want a club to actually be in the hunt for success most Septembers and not **once every blue moon**, now Taylor might be wrong with the Farah move, but really we need yo start winning or we are dead

Taylor deserves to be heckled … Robbie played HIS game, and had a blinder, NOT taylors game ... all the players can lift themselves when they are coached right .. taylor is not a coach ... he should be heckled and sent on his way ... so many fans wont renew memberships nor attend their games while taylor is there ..nor will a sponsor back a wooden spoon team .. what coach says, it doesnt matter about winning ???? taylor thats who and all the other inane comments he makes ... boring games ... wests tigs are ridiculed ... thanks to taylor .. this team is on the way out

In the end taylor deserved to be let known that weather right or wrong the way he has delt with robbie publicly is so so wrong! Farah is the captain and long time servent of the tigers! Regardless of the reasons they could have made it look at least mutual to the public. It seems like its been done to make it as embarrassing as possible for robbie.

The problem with this view is that it is not based on what really happened. Taylor and WT management dealt with this very privately in order to show Farah respect and maintain his dignity. Someone else, who thought they had something to gain, made the information public. Your comment is just one way we can now see what the release of that information has done. I wonder who stood to gain by releasing that information?

CMon NT how long did you think a story like that was going to stay quiet - if not from sources at Wests Tigers what about through all the other clubs that his manager would have been contacting to see if there was any interest. Surely you cant deny Farah the right to try to secure another contract until the Tigers decided to make it public. Plus if the Tigers are going to make such a controversial decision that effects the fan base who support the club, the public and fans have every right to know about it. "Show Farah respect" - more like were trying to hide from the wrath of the fans in hope that Robbie would be picked up quickly by someone else. They got caught out. You live by the sword you die by the sword.

I think you'll find that the story was made public (leaked) before the WT released a statement to the media. It makes no sense whatever that WT would leak the story and then almost immediately rush out a media statement. So I conclude somebody else did, and ask the question; who had the most to gain?
I agree with your statement, 'live by the sword, die by the sword', but only as it applies top the other side of the equation.

When exactly was the club going to release the information ?
In the off season?… When the backlash wouldn't be as immense. :question:

From what I understand the plan was that the information would only be released after Farah had another deal in the bag. That way, whether WT or Farah management released it would be done as a positive move for him. It looks like Souths were interested and were trying to work something out with their roster but that got flatlined when the story leaked and may have scared them off. We'll see.

I too hope the club does take notice. They should go through the security footage and ban any of these despicable "fans" for at least a year.

With all due respect NT- the web in rugby league stretches far beyond the conference room. This was always going to be a massive story in the media and poor judgement by Wests Tigers to think that they control when it would be released.

If you go by the wests Tigers Facebook page it's like 200/1 in favour of Robbie.

JT is the nrl Coaching version of Todd Carney, JT should take his systems and go coach Nick Kyrgios, could you imagine how the children will come out❤️

Russ the Wests Tigers facebook page has a very healthy representation of fans with opinions no less valid than those on this forum. Unlike this forum though - generally their identity is not hidden.
