A - We finished inside the top 8 and played semi finals football

I'd personally be stoked. I'll judge JT on how he performs over the course of the year. Results matter less to me than his performance. I want to see a well coached team and no more of the crazy spin.

I'll live with the result and judge JT exactly the same.

I think we need to make the semi's next year but the club is up against it. We really need Lawrence, Sirro and our two halves to kick on and Taylor to up his game considerably. Its a lot to ask and I can't see it happening however I really hope that it does.

A- if we finish inside the top 8 then the tact the club and JT has taken will generally speaking have been vindicated.

B- if we finish outside the top 8 then for me it will depend on performance over the season balanced against improvement, playing strength and depth, injury to name a few. If the team fails and it is due to the stance taken by management and coach then they should be held accountable. If the team finishes outside the top 8 but they did their best given the players available, improved then not much more could be expected until the club is in a better position to buy stronger players.

C- I would be very happy if the team finished in the 8 but realistically I am not hopeful but will sign up membership to support them but expect they will have a go and put in.

For me, I'm not honestly expecting us to make the 8 next year. If we do, it'll be a bonus for us. From my observations, I honestly dont think we have the cattle yet to match it with clubs like Brisbane, Nth Queensland, Roosters, Souths and Melbourne. The new recruits could surprise us, only time will tell.

Right from the start, JT and the board have always said we've got major problems with our cap and some difficult and unpopular decisions will have to be made to get it right. It's obvious they're not here to ride out the problems and hope that in 5-7 years we'll be able to start competing again.

JT has moved on some players and bought some. I'm of the belief he's starting to get a team that he believes can improve on this year. Making the 8 is not really my expectation for next year but I do expect us to be a lot closer to the 8 than what we were this year. If we finish in the same position as this year or worse, then I believe JT has some serious questions to answer.

The most important thing to me for next season, keeping in mind the quality of our team, I'm thinking along the same lines as what Ink posted earlier. For me, as long as they fight all the way to the end, play with pride in their jersey and the players as well as the club conduct themselves with the highest profession off the field, I'll be a happy supporter.

I don't think any of us a blinded by the fact that we simply haven't got the cattle at the moment but what paying members deserve to see out on the field is committement and a desire to give there all for 80 minutes at the very least?
This year they were lacking desire and looked disinterested in a lot of games except for Tedesco who can hold his head held high.
Not improving on this year's position on the ladder is unexceptable and serious questions will need to be addressed.

For me 2015 is a bad memory but it's in the past.
2016 is full of hope and intrigue. I will judge JT solely on 2016 performance and hope he learned some lessons along with the playing group.

If he gets us to the semis it'll be congrats coach
If we play a solid to good year but just miss out it'll be let him finish his contract.
If we play like this year I'll say he hasn't learnt so punt him.

Probably the most level headed critiquing i've seen of JT for a while.

To the point, Stryker, but if we're sitting with only a couple of wins after 7 or 8 games he's a goner.

I dont see the point in a guy who has been preparing the side every day for four months getting the flick early in the season due to a few losses.

It sets the squad backwards and almost guarantees the season is done. If he is the head coach all off season he has to be the coach for the majority of the season proper. I have hopes that Taylorball will see version 3.0 and our defence will tighten enough to give good field position to a backline who should be ready to tear the field up.

I would retain him this season as well. I'd even consider retaining him next season assuming the crazy spin and terrible game plans stop.

I think that there is a chance that he will improve considerably. He needs too.

I've never understood that either, it only ever seems like a band aid solution. You give the new coach and the team an excuse to write the season off. The board also likes to hide behind that reason to save their own skins. Fans just don't buy it anymore (if they ever did to begin with.)

Interestingly enough the last coach I can remember that came in late in mid season and took a team to the finals was JT in 2006 when Parra were something like 2 wins from 9 games.

At least it should be happy team next year, we have more hookers then you would find in Kings Cross!!!

Most Clubs carry at least 3 hookers….all except the Storm and the Dogs ran a 2 hooker rotation last season....

Letting Joel Luiani go and replacing him with Ballin is an upgrade...

Well that's obvious. But at the cost of ruining Cherry's progress assuming Farah stays? Or even, at the cost of Farah?

Not at all.

I have absolutely no problem with the quality of Ballin, but the signing is ridiculous. He's a first grader, he wasn't bought to play NSW Cup.

Nothing wrong with competition. It only helps to keep players on their toes and not take things for granted.

Make no mistake about it this is a personal power play to force Farah out and hit Farah in the mouth with it.What an insult to Farah the club signs Ballin. He is a life member and done a lot for this club JT is a hack of a coach whom the squad despises. Make no mistake the rumours out there are spot on.

By the end of 2016 Taylor will have had two years with a squad and only really has to make top half of the ladder in one of those years to appease fans. Talk about setting a low expectation.

I don't care about excuses regarding a young squad, a weak squad, or injuries or off field drama. Let Newcastle Knights have excuses. Let Parramatta have excuses. I'm over it. I'm over tolerating poor performers whether it's individual players or the coach. I am sick of justifying why it makes sense that we suck. I'm sick of pretending that it doesn't bother me because frankly I AM NOT FINE WITH THE FACT THAT WE CAN'T MAKE THE EIGHT.

If we don't make the eight Taylor has to go.

We are all paid members so the support is there but if you were intentionally trying to kill us off you couldn't do it better than the current management.

We are NOT all paid members of the Wests Tigers! If you have bought season tickets, it does NOT make you a member of Wests Tigers. It does NOT bestow any financial or voting rights for the Wests Tigers!

"The coach despises their coach" - really?

If by any Chance JT gets us playing Semi Final Footy in 2016 ? he deserves to see out his Contract….no if buts or maybes .
I will also eat humble Pie and admit that i have absolutely no knowledge of how games plans should be instructed and while i'm at it will apologize for being so wrong in my Judgement of him being a Coach.

I think the above is such at long Odds to happen it's not funny.

And If we finish between 14th - 16th in 2016 ? i would like to see the Jason Taylor lovers admit that he simply hasn't got it and they were wrong ever thinking he had it

He still doesn't have the playing roster

Give him our 2012 roster and if he failed axe him

Our 2012 roster would put 50 past the 2016 version

That's not our first excuse being put in place for Taylor in 2016, is it Happy??

No GCT

Its all fact

Every issue this club has , has been around for a very long time

Would you agree ??

Its has carried on through numerous coaches and boards

Yet its Marina Go's fault and Jason Taylor's fault

Does anyone see the complete lack of logic in that ??

I'm as angry as the next bloke / bird about what has happened , but what will blaming the current management who are doing their darnedest to get us into a position in the future where we might actually be competitive and financial

I apologize for bringing logic into the conversation , but it had to happen

Thank goodness for some sense, Happy!
I have been getting less and less interested in reading and posting on this forum, because the lack of logic in some of the posts drives me crazy.
I cannot see how people cannot recognise that the Wests Tigers problem goes back some years. It may go back before 2012 and because we are all outsiders, we would be unaware of all of the facts surrounding finances, players, personality clashes, cliques and working atmosphere. I assume that sometime in the future the real, complete story will come out, but the major protagonists will need to have left the Club first.

We needed another hooker, are you kidding me!!! No one has mentioned how much Balin cost us?? All it has done by signing Balin is show that Taylor is a bigger goose then we already knew…Balin is 31 and coming off a full knee re-con!!! Offers nothing!!!
