Whats up with our plan vs Manly?

Half time and we have them right where we want them.
Yes well this has been our strategy all year. Now come home with a wet sail and lose by 6.
We are so [This word has been automatically removed]ing hopeless it’s beyond a joke and obviously everyone, except maybe API, accepts mediocrity.

Agreed, the more juniors we can genuinely market as good first graders the better it will be for our long term future (panthers model)
We need to leave our juniors where they are and let them develop.
They are struggling in top grade more than they should be.
They need a couple of years in the lower grades.

Problem for some of the juniors, they are not prepared to master their skills for a season or two, they want the big bucks, now

Yep. They are the ones I’d cut.
That attitude is destructive for team culture.
We want the ones who’ll play the long game and become champions for us.

The ones who end up playing the long game aren't the "legends" running around in Matts & Ball. It's the guys who methodically work their way through the grades and get out of Flegg by their 20th birthday. The ones that leap frog a grade and get a top 30 spot too early don't always work out either through skill or their greedy manager who is looking after his client.

By long game, I meant progress through the grades rather than leapfrog them.
Can’t stand seeing 18 year olds in first grade. They are children still.
