When or What makes this season unacceptable

Lets say it is unacceptable, what are we going to do about it? Moan, complain, act like victims who deserve better, and come back in 2020 and do it all over again.


It is simple really. Firstly, how many members of this forum are financially active members of this club? (Maybe we should do a survey) I’m pretty sure it is a significant number.

As a sign of protest do NOT renew any form of a membership and this will send a loud message to our incompetent management and in turn capture the eye of the tv networks who stand to lose ratings. If we as fans protest and stop watching, it will get the ball rolling and hopefully wake up the NRL to realise that the competition will suffer financially as a whole if they maintain the course of special treatment to handful of clubs.

This not only applies to our club but a few other clubs in similar situations. If we maintain the road we are going on, nothing will change and we will still be having the same conversation in the years to come.

As someone else eluded to - withhold our memberships and don't go to the games until something changes. Believe me it will.

The NRL will see the membership numbers fall - the ground attendances fall .....
Basically the interest in Wests Tigers fall and relocate the club to Perth.

Terrific - just the outcome we all want....NOT!.

I took your concern into consideration when I wrote this thought and that is why I stated that it should be a movement implemented across a number of clubs in the same position eg Dragons, Bulldogs etc

Well that is ok - personally I'm not worried about a movement, Dragons, Bulldogs or any other club than ours. I don't want to do anything that causes the Tigers to go to Perth, Bullamakanka or anywhere else. Cause that would mean I am out.

Considering that Madge has signed up for all the clubs' off field drama, none of which he has created, coaching a team that was built by someone else who then ditched the club for another agenda, I don't think we're travelling too bad.
I think next year, depending on if Madge gets some of the cattle he wants, it will be the benchmark year of good season/bad season.
We've been competitive in most games, apart from a few shockers, and simply the difference has been player class.

The biggest thing to come out of this season in the long run will be the improvement of MCK, Aloai, Twal, Matterson, Liddle, Brooks, Marsters, Thompson. These players will have to be the core of the squad moving forward but we need to add more to be competitive.

I’m hoping Cini, Talau, Madden come through and take first grade positions in the coming year or two.

Doesn’t make a difference I guess neither club has been any good since we walloped them in 2010-2011... and again I’d rather take a BS loss to the absolute golden child team in 2010 who went on to brush the dragons in our piece de resistance ‘great’ grand final than follow a team who paid Eastwood willingly for 3 years to give other teams games... remember that beauty of a kick he put in for us to race 70m and beat you guys on the bell a couple of years back?? Jeez you must’ve had all your presents come at once when ya finally got us for win number 2/5 earlier in the year

I think anything is acceptable this year, like wooden spoon I am not fussed. I just wish there was a draft so they could tank. Our big money stars Reynolds Packer are out. Its too much to ask for. Need to somehow get rid of them and make a few good signings for 2021, make some progress next year, and definitely make the finals in 2021. I think thats realistic and i'll be okay with it. Then just make good decisions from then on, and be a professional outfit for many years, long run consistancy. Would take that then make finals this year or next. I follow Magic in NBA and they are trying to do the same thing. Hope it works =p

Orlando are in a far better position than the tigers mate. They got draft picks and assets. The magic are on the rise. They gave the raps a run for their money in the playoffs. The NRL doesn't have that system. Just look at how the AFL are run compared to the top heavy system of the NRL.
