Where is Oneill in all this?

 C'mon mate it's pretty predictable now to say he will move on after this though .
If there was an agreement i doubt he would be sent of in this fashion .

Robbie would of fronted the media and announced that he was moving on at Season's end and that these events were already agreed with the Club previously .
Don't know why Jason had to pull Robbie aside when this was already agreed with the Club or was it agreed to put him in the team sheet and next Day drop him to Reserves and just humiliate him while we are at it .
You should of given us a heads up weeks ago this was going to occur , there wouldn't be such a meltdown on here

Maybe there was an agreement but he made it clear he was going to renege on it so they turned around and shafted him…or maybe there was never any agreement. It's all just guesswork unless someone has a reliable inside source.

There was an agreement between the club and Farah to keep him in first grade up until State Of Origin.

 yeah right oh :unamused: and what did the Club get in return of this agreement ? that Robbie will cancel out his final year .

So your saying the Club was prepared to put a wrench in our future planning of Cherrington to accommodate Farah until Origin at the expense of maybe loosing a great hooker for many years to come .
Don't believe it for a minute  . We have a Coach who is desperate to prove that he has what it takes and his on borrowed time to prove that….but his going to allow Farah a player he wants out of the Club till 3/4 of the Season to be in his side .

Yeah and i thought Taylor had control of the side , thanks for the laugh

Never said he would cancel out the final year he will play and be paid just not at WT.

Where will he play ?

More likely than not, Taylor _wants to own_ this decision and it's the same in the corporate world. Strong business leaders put their hand up and _own_ the big and generally unpopular decisions (eg: staff redundancies). The press conference showed that to me, especially when he was asked if the younger players in the squad have pressed for Farah to be dropped. He poured water on that suggestion straight away and owned the decision.

History could possibly judge that press conference as one of the big turning points in the culture of the club.

History will judge Taylor on results.

He needs results in this last 7 weeks.

Our draw is favourable and were a tpretty much full strength.

We have some average side in front of us that we need to overhaul to make the finals.

I give us a real shot, but ill be interested to see the response of the team this week.

Pretty much.

The way I see it is if they don't perform, JT is as good as done. May as well take the bull by the horns and make the changes you see fit. If it all works out he is vindicated and looks like a genius.

He's gone all in here, a lot of pressure on him, and on the team to deliver now.

I see this next game is the most important of the season. So much more is at stake than 2 points.
I'm a big fan of Robbie and I am a liitle confused that JT cant still have him in the side. But you have to admire JT for sticking to what he thinks is the right way to go.
You have to trust him, he is steering the ship. He knows more about rugby league and the inner workings of this team than any of us.
To be honest I'm a liitle surprised how much drama dropping robbie has caused. And how much vitriol Jt has been copping.
The team is a squad of 25 players and Robbie is just one of those. They all should be working toward the one goal and the coach is the boss. End of story.

No, I don't admire him or trust him.

I would be guessing however, England makes most sense but wouldn't be at all surprised if he ends up at STGI or Parra.

GNR, you've given me a thumbs down because I don't admire our footy coach and because I don't trust him? Wow… Unreal.

If that's true, JT actually did him a favour by not dropping him earlier. Contrary to what some are saying about this decision being made out of spite.

Taylor also did the club a favour by not dropping him earlier because he scored excellent tries in last two games. I can remember the commentator stating on one try how it was Robbie's experience that he managed to roll with his weight over the line when tackled short of the line.

The decision could be considered to have been made out of spite to Robbie and the Club as they are both unnecessarily losing out by Robbie not being there.

If I am incorrect in thinking that the aim of the games was to score hard tries and tackle your heart out then I apologise.

I have nothing against the guy and understand what he is trying to do - I just think it can still be achieved by leaving Farah in there by slightly adjusting the plan, having slightly more options. IMO it is just a matter of having the correct balance like we have had recently.

When looking at that Marshall Magic video I noticed how many times Farah made the initial charge from D/H gaining yards and momentum up the middle. Nothing wrong with that if not over done and he can co-ordinate his mates around him to follow.

Oh well, tell us what he's trying to do, because I can't work it out.

Bryce Gibbs (a former player and someone I expect would know how Taylor is viewed within the club and NRL more widely…) summed Taylor up on Twitter; "he can't run a bath let alone a football team".

Only guessing here but because JT was a half back he sees things from different perspective and how the modern game is played, with interchange rules updating mean different strategies need to be adopted. You can't just run the opposing forwards down anymore tiring them out, so you play out wide around them. The plan should be adjusted each week depending on the opposing team's composition and usual strategies.

Seriously mate. We're all entitled to and have our own opinions but you look like a twit when you quote Bryce gibbs.
Pick someone with half a brain that is backing Farah.

The sad thing about this is how personally people have taken this, thus the issue they with JT is personal as a result. Not even a premiership will win these people over, which would be the ultimate evidence that they place the player above the club.

If we make the finals this yr, I wouldn't be surprised if he was given a 1 yr extension to give the club more time to evaluate what the plan is long term. If that happens, the popcorn will be on stand by.

Is this the same Bryce Gibbs who once spat in the face of a female police officer and punched out a cabbie who tried to stop him skipping a fare? Who also happens to be a disgruntled former employee of this club? What next, you'll highlight The backing of Matt Lodge?

Is this really true. Speaking for myself I think it is a really poor decision and it shows a lack of integrity however it's not like I'm having a breakdown and I think JT should be shot and quartered.

I think that is too good for him.

In all seriousness I don't even really like Robbie. I just think that this is poorly handled and personal rather than being about what is right for the team.

It is true. I saw someone on another site recently saying anything less than the top 4 and he should be sacked because "anything less is a failure". Strange comment considering we finished 15th last yr, so a top 8 finish this yr by logic would be a resounding success. I took that comment as just someone who obviously hates him that much, it wouldn't matter how far he takes us. Obviously this person sees the 8 within reach and he knows he may have to eat his own words, so in an act of desperation had to the raise the bar for Taylor even higher.

We gotta win 6 out of 7 to make the 8\. For some this is the only way taylor can keep his job.
When was they last time we won 6 out of 7?

I suppose some people think like that. At the same time the hatred towards Robbie is pretty over the top. Some of the stuff posted about Robbie is completely irrational.
