Which team will get the 18th Franchise

The most deserving for the 18th Franchise is the Central Coast with its 500,000 + pop of Rugby League mad fans. Just logical !
What's the point though?
If the aim is to grow the comp to new markets, new fans, new players, then PNG, WA, or NZ2 are the logical options.
Central Coast or another SE Queensland team doesn't bring in new fans, it just cannibalises existing fans from other clubs.

So what you are telling the people and the juniors ( who are involved in very large comps )
Sorry you can't have a team of your own you will just have to pick one of the existing Sydney clubs and support them !
After all just look at the western half of Sydney which certainly needs
Parramatta ,Canterbury , Wests Tigers and Penrith and if you prefer
Manly ,Eastern suburbs ,St George Illawarra or Cronulla or Souths .
I'm sure Central Coast people would not wish to support Qld ,Melbourne and definitely not
Newcastle which has its own large area and of course NZ
Most of the CC pop were born there.
They were allowed to have a soccer team which in the last year and it turned out to be the most successful team in Asia !
Its feedstream of juniors would be enormous .The infrastructure is already there !
The fact that Manly dudded Nth Sydney all those years ago is not the fault of the Central Coast

Yes. That's how it's been since 1908. That's why you're on here. That's why we're all here. Probably 90% of our fans don't actually live in the Balmain area or the Campbelltown area.

And you're admitting yourself that a new Central Coast team will take existing fans from existing clubs. It won't bring in any new fans.

No local fans I mean, in Paddington, Bondi. A majority of their crowds would be people who've travelled from other regions of Sydney, or opposition fans. They would easily get just as big crowds on the Central Coast.
Not sure about where their fans come from, but they won't get the top end of town corporates.

Here's what I want to see re. NRL expansion over the next few years:

2027: PERTH PIRATES (or PERTH JETS if they have to connect with a legacy club) - Blue and Black
2029: Second NZ team (Christchurch Chiefs/Wolves/Whatever) - Brown and Forest Green
2030: CENTRAL COAST BEARS - Red and Black

That would bring us up to 20 teams. I like the idea of a PNG team but not sure it would ever really work.

There is more chance of us winning a grand final in the next 2 years than the Roosters going to the Central Coast.
Will not ever happen TL.

Absolutely, will never happen.
Just the sheer logic of it annoys me, as if there's ever a relocation it will unjustly be a team with much more local support in much more of a rugby league area of Sydney (probably us)

I'm all for relocation of the Roosters to the Central Coast, as it moves an existing team with no local fans and no local juniors, to a market that has plenty of fans and juniors.
No thanks please don’t bring them here. I know they get their ‘juniors’ from Wyong, but there’s not a lot of support for the chooks here really. Bears, Souths and Tigers are easily the most supported teams. A revamped North Sydney would be a huge success here, imo.

The most supported football team here is the Mariners !
Many locals don't support any team but for those who do
I'd say Rabbits ,Tigers ,Eels are the most supported
