They can make whatever animal sound you want them to make if that's what floats your boat.

I've never met a Magpie that wasn't a good bloke, human and winged included.
The magpie that hangs around my backyard with his family can bark like the dog next door. Bloody brilliant they are.

Tell you something that happened to me in my youth, just finished making a slingshot and saw this crow feeding on something on the road, loaded up and fired bounced off the road and smacked it in the head, it just shook it off and came at me had take cover in some small bushes it was really pissed, left me alone after a couple of swoops.

Here's a tip. If you feed your local magpies they won't swoop you.
Magpies can remember faces for 7 years. An act of kindness doesn't go unnoticed by them.
They only swoop perceived threats, they don't do it for the hell of it.

I used to have one down the road that would swoop me every spring, we had a bit of a battle going. Sadly he was hit by a car a couple of years ago.

Any ranger would tell you not to feed wild fauna
One of the reasons people feed them food that’s not good for them
Thats not good,fortunately my kookaburra family still perch near me and even better all the cockatoos have disappeared since the moron who lived below me moved and stopped feeding them.

One hopes that they don't evolutionize to the point they have a 3rd eye like that raven in Game Of Thrones, would be a bird to be reckoned with.
