No your thinking of Craig Field or maybe Benji Marshall or Robbie Farah….
Lincoln Withers was a champ......man he could hit in D.....

Trying hard does not make you a great player. I would say Morris is a very good athlete, fit, reasonably good defensively for his size, but he simply does not have a single iota of a footballing brain and couldn't create his way out of a wet paper bag. Also he is poor at basic aspects of the game such as passing and kicking.
Always gave his all for us, but if that is the criteria for judging ability, then perhaps half this forum should be playing - I'm sure most fans if given a go on the field would always give 200% - doesn't make them good players.

I liked Corey Pearson. For a long time he was the last man sent off in an NRL game and I once won a trivia jackpot for knowing this! Besides he was a big bald enforcer with a good offload. He was a bit limited but hardly worst player ever and not in the "class" of some of the other names being mentioned here.
@Leroy The Tigers Fan said:Hayes Lauder played a handful of games in 1999 for Balmain before playing 2 run on games and 8 replacement games for the joint venture side in 2000, Justin Doyle played 3 run on games and 5 replacements in 2000/01, Shayne Dunley only appeared once for the Wests Tigers but went on to a long career at Manly.
My 2 worst players for the Wests Tigers are <big>Alf Duncan</bigwho was a first grader at Manly and Brenton Pomery who was a first grader at Norths and neither player made an impression with us from the get go.

Wow!!! I had no idea that he was so bad. I wonder how he has played first grade football for 10 years without anyone else finding out what you know. What a mystery.

Fitzhenry has also played first grade football for 10 years, is he also a good player?
I maintain Morris is a good athlete, not a good footballer.
@leroy the tigers fan said:glen air played just the one game for us as a stop gap so it's hard to judge for that one game, john carlaw was great for usas a foundation player, he played in a grand final for the warriors after being shown the door by us while i still remember one of mark o'halloran's early games for us when we were beaten 68-0 by melbourne at the then new docklands stadium.
He got belted from pillar to post had blood pouring out from a badly broken nose but kept on giving it his all, unlike some players circa 2010 who appeared to turn it up, as far as fitzy goes we should remember him as a match winner from the 2005 era rather than the mere shadow of himself in 2010, it's not his fault that sheens has a fixation with him, remember that when sheens was sacked by the cowboys 'mental illness' was used as an alibi/excuse.[/quot

glen air actually played ok in that one game also.

Every coach is capable of some clangers - the much derided B.Smith cops it far too much. In any case playing Morris at five-eighth is better than playing him at halfback, but yes, he should be no-where near the halves in any NRL side.
If you listened to the media you'd think Smith is the worst coach the game has ever seen.
