The article says that but I have no idea why Farah cares. Robbie will get paid out the full amount. It's just who picks up the difference.

I still reckon he could be here next year but I hope not.

I agree, sad but it is what it is! Ours is to pray that our Tigers keep moving onwards and upwards.

It seems more likely the more this continues. He has 3 clubs chasing him and they all have money to spend (ennis retiring, rein not re-signed). We keep hearing he is negotiating his pay out from the togers, so obviously they "arent just paying him what he is owed" like many on here have stated.

Who is the guy that has inside information and comes on here every now and then. I think he needs to update us.

My speculation comes from the part that says he is still negotiating his pay out from the tigers. But as you correctly said its speculation.

How is that "obviously" what is happening? He might have already signed somewhere for all we know. Alternatively the negotiations may be taking a long time because rival clubs are trying to force us to take as much as possible and we are resisting and hoping to trigger a bidding war.

The club have no negotiating power to avoid paying him out, which is why people are saying that he will get every cent.

I think the issue maybe that the Tigers are wanting to change the terms of the contract? We all know there is a minimum that he must be registered for under the cap with the new club and the rest goes into our cap.

They may be putting pressure on RF to take a paycut in these transfer discussions? We all state he will get what he is owed but that's not exactly the case if all parties agree including nrl, a contract can be regnotiated and replaced so the club maybe saying new club pay $300 we pay $300 and RF cop $300 Pay cut??

I would say all things being equal RF should be at least a $400 - 500k signing (putting opinions aside). And as others have said in the forums we haven't presented him well and RF and his advisors haven't help neither.

It doesn't change my view at all - If Farah and his management are not happy with the terms they don't have to take it - Its their decision whether they accept whatever is negotiated. Its obvious he isnt going to take a massive pay cut - he would be a fool if he did - but if there is a figure that he and his management are willing to accept so be it.

Most have assumed "he will get what he is owed". But is this really the case? I'm interested to know and as you appear to be acutely sensitive to anything vaguely negative towards the club it makes me more interested.
