Honestly it's a trade for forwards for Backs. BJ is an interesting center, but I like the way when fired up he can get to the line and provides something different in attack. While loosing Matterson if he was disgruntled would be a good idea, we get BJ disgruntled from Canberra. Ricky is a definite character who will work people hard. Madge is the same I just hope Madge has better people skills to handle this. (wondering if Jason Taylor is around to give a people skills management course?
If so can someone sponsor him for Easts?)
BJ going into center I think will be a top move for us. You need top shelf talent or talent that can go up a gear if you are going to make the finals. If BJ works hard he will be that talent, but lets face it he left Canberra for a reason. I hope he can prove himself when he is here.
Likewise Doulei (i'm calling him Doolies? I can't type that name). A lot of potential, good games for Lebanon and probably our best choice at Fullback. Will he Gell there and live up to the Hype? who knows.
This leaves our front row. Loosing Matalino and Matterson being replaced with L Leilua and Zane Musgrove (dinnit we sign him last year and the player was naughty??). Mats was about as good as one of these two. Matterson's work rate gets replaced by impact. That's good we need impact.
But we have lost that Liam Fulton like work rate that seriously helps us win games.
Overall we swapped forwards for backs and I hope our new forwards step up to the mark.
Think you are totally selling Lucy's workrate short. He is an 80 minute goer when needed and a lot fitter than last year which will make him even more of a goer.
