Why don’t our forwards go forward?

They don't go forward as we have way too many of the same type. I have said for ages that you can have a Huth...you can have an ET...you can have a Syefarth...you can have a Twal...you can even have a a Chee Kam...

But you sure as hell can't have them all. That is way, way too many light weights / guys who do not bend the line. Guys who never wind up and run hard.

They are all crap and wouldn’t make the bench in most top 8 sides ...

Even in games this year where our forwards have dominated he’s been terrible.

When we win games it’s not cause our halves are dominating and controlling a game. Benji has some magic in him every so often but brooksy has done nothing

I think i'm the only person on the planet who thinks Lewis could develop into a good player. Wouldn't go to war over that fact. Don't care either way

It isn’t just try assists, with the exception of his defence he’s not doing anything at an acceptable standard.

Moses and Reynolds offer far more than Brooks. Another interesting stat to look at is forced drop outs. Moses has 19 forced drop outs, Reynolds has 15 whereas Brooks has only 3. They also both kick at over 80%. I don’t think they’ll be looking over their shoulder.

Moses and Reynolds can actually find the grass with a kick and control field position as well. Moses hasn’t been that good this year but still better than Brooks, Reynolds has been great especially the last few weeks, he’s a proper controlling halfback.

1st you said our powderpuff's wouldn't make a top team...then you said when we get in the opposition 20 Brooks stuff it up anyway..I pointed out we didn't even get there to stuff it up..

We barely made it out of our own half in the 2nd half and not once into the 20..that has nothing to do with stats that's what happened..

You would rather just bash Brooks than discuss any of that..which is fine..It is time for him to go I have no issue at all with that..it's not working and probably never will so best for both parties

There was a thread saying how great our future pack is going to be..we have one rookie coming who is a plodder apparently..Brooks being here or not is not going to change it.

There’s plenty of teams worse than us where their halfback has more than 1 try assist. Foran has 10 in 11 games for bulldogs and our forwards rolled theirs.

Foran is miles ahead of brooks.

Apparently if you don’t have a good pack In front of you, you can escape all blame. Foran playing behind a worse team is literally 10 times better than brooks. Even Lachlan Lewis has more try assists and he’s garbage

Lachlan Lewis would have made more of a contribution to our team this year than Brooks. And I think Lewis is one of the worst halves in the game.

So it has just become a Brooks bashing thread..

There are also a few other halves must be looking over there shoulder if they are just basing it on try assists Reynolds only has 4 Slimey only 3 this year ..

We have plenty of candidates to take over though when Brooks is gone next year ..we can move onto Doueihi..

You would rather just bash Brooks than discuss any of that..which is fine..It is time for him to go I have no issue at all with that..it's not working and probably never will so best for both parties

There was a thread saying how great our future pack is going to be..we have one rookie coming who is a plodder apparently..Brooks being here or not is not going to change it.

Everyone else is depth category and we just have to many

Not to add to the halves bashing, but if im a forward in a busted team. You bust your ass to get up the field and your half does a crap bomb, or kicks it dead time and time again.
Eventually your output is going to drop.. and im not just talking about one game.

Blore is 100% a keeper but at this stage he is a long way off a first grade backrower. He is a "highlights reel" player". Last night he came on, make a great run, two great offloads, two good hits and was completely gassed with the play running straight past him all in 5 minutes.

Brooksy just needs space (hence the thread title). He is an opportunist who likes to play what he sees. I am starting to think that Madge is a bit of a disciplinarian who likes structure and I don’t believe that Brooks is suited to that game plan.

AD would probably make a better fist of it in terms of carrying out Madge’s game plans but lacks the raw ability and talent of Brooks (imho).

Brooks needs space away from the Wests Tigers. We will never make the finals with Brooks in the halves. His decision making is atrocious. Passes when he should run, runs when he should pass. His three bombs while we had a player in the bin were decisions of a person who needs to be somewhere else. That was just the ultimate in stupidity and shows why he needs to leave.
