Why Sydneysiders should support the Roosters

Guts personified. How could you not be happy for them. Paul Green has done one hell of a job over the last 3 weeks. As for Morgan, no amount of words do the man justice.

Not just the last 3 weeks, all year.
Bellyache has done as he always has, keeps feeding the machine and earning top results. Greeny has fought and slogged and scraped by all year with makeshift sides, turning followers into leaders in one season. Tremendous result for his effort.

I think theyll fall just short but look out next year.

Cowboys are showing most teams what is possible if you play as a team, show plenty of ticker and defend like your life depends on it.

Their defence is their best attacking weapon. Great kicking game backed up by just brilliant defence.

Anyway for me it is a great result,Chooks are the no1 parasites of the NRL,and great to see a bruised and battered Cowboy team triumph over brown paper bags

To think they were 10 minutes away from hitting the sauce when the Dragons were leading the Bulldogs.

Thought that they were gone for the year against us until MCK gave them an opportunity and they have not looked back since.

My Souths mate is ecstatic about Cowboys winning because of Bunny/Roosters rivalry, the Pride of the League want to keep their GF tally above that of Roosters.

I hope the Cowboys win the Gf,just desserts for a hard honest performance during the finals campaign without their fearless leader…good luck Cowboys..

I’ll be barracking for the Cowboys in the GF. I can never support those Melbourne cheats.

I'll be cheering for whoever is playing the Storm. Can't stand Smith and Slater, and Munster is quickly joining them.

Youll be on the loser then.

So be it if that's the case, would rather be supporting a team you want to win rather than being a bandwagoner who only gets on the favourites.

But they didnt cheat mate, just ask them.
They still dribble on that they did nothing wrong.
Up the Cows next week!

It'll a huge achievement if the Cows knock Melbourne off sans JT and Scott.

A great time for them to be hitting their straps, Melbourne will be ready for them though.

Did you give it to your young bloke Geo?

Not too much CB as given our ladder position I didn't feel I had the moral high ground…as mentioned in the Finals thread the was a highlight ..after Fergo scored he asked me if I wanted to go to the GF,,? Then after Morgan kicked the FG...I asked him if he wanted to go to the GF. .? the response can't be published here...

In the immortal words of Ricky Bobby: if you're not first, you're last.

I've tried hard to like Melbourne over the years, I really have, but I just find it impossible to support them with any real enthusiasm. I know they are, and have always been, a great team/club, however I can't help but think that their inception into the League was one of the major reasons for the demise of both our clubs as single entities. And that will always hurt.

A quick browse of the Chookpen forum provides a great giggle, they want to get rid of basically every player in the club, the coach and anyone else associated with the Rorters over the last few seasons.
Plenty of calls for buying even MORE of other clubs' players: is that even possible? Uncle Nick is the only bloke that gets off scot-free…...they like his dirty money and creative accounting practices apparently.
