So you are saying Broncos will make the finals again before Tigers because they won a spoon? Because that's the point of the thread.

My point is coming last is not any better than coming 11th, nor should it be suggested to be. Clubs don't cut coaches simply because of wooden spoons, and coming 14th or 15th a few times won't save a doomed coach.

You just don't get it. And must have really enjoyed the past 10 years.

Why haven't we changed things at all in that time? Becuase we've never hit rock bottom so we make minor tweaks year after year. We need to blow up our blueprint and start with a blank piece of paper.

Even writing a dozen names on a whiteboard ala Ricky might be a good start

I think that's what Payten is doing at NQ. Blow it up and start from scratch.

That’s what Maguire is doing here but some people don’t like the process, but it is needed. It’s re-engineering and it’s a long haul task, not a quick fix.

Mick Potter was trying to do it aswell.

No, I am saying the Broncos will make the finals again before us because we are an absolute basketcase.

They have been a top club for three decades, they are in a slump but will get out of it. We won't.

The more the press gets stuck in ...the better ( in my opinion )

I think we cop enough from the press. More than oth the broncos and dogs together probably and yet, I don't think we're as bad as they have been for some time.

Dogs made a GF in 2014

Brisbane up until last few seasons were regular finallist

Yet we haven't been as bad as them for some time

Some are just purely ignorant of this clubs problems

By some time, I meant the last few seasons

You just like to argue. I'm now convinced you're not here for anything other than being argumentative. The point I made was that we cop our fair share of criticism. Much more so than others that are in a similar position to us in terms of results on field and issues off it.

My point is you treat this club like a baby ....it has never done anything wrong ...it's always the press's fault , NRL fault etc etc etc

The club is at fault ...it has dug it's own hole .....and until they own the problem things will never get better

Just remember you quoted me mate .......but I'm argumemtative ......really

So we "haven't changed things at all" and we are also are staring down the barrel of a 6th coach in 10 years? They can't both be true.

I also don't understand how you can claim we never hit rock bottom. Were you asleep in 2012 when we bombed out and decided to cut Sheens, to then pay him hundreds of thousands of dollars, which we have spare in the bank account? Or 2013-2015 when two consecutive coaches got us within one place of the wooden spoon, only to be saved by Parramatta and Newcastle (on F/A only)?

Or in 2017 when our elite-level footballers left. Or in 2018 when our new coach decided to join another franchise mid-contract.

You obviously have a different definition of "rock-bottom". A wooden spoon will not help.

Exactly. We're always 'not great, but not too far away. A few small adjustments from being a top side.

We've never come close to rock bottom. Just a laughing stock.

Changing coaches without changing the framework they're constrained by achieves nothing.
