Will Cherrington be happy to wait?

This kid is a gun, not eligible for NYC anymore so the question is, is he happy to wait until Farah retires? I don't think he will play NSW Cup for the next three years, one we will lose imo

He'll have to , at least for the next year at least
There's a big difference between anything he has played yet and F /g. Not saying he isn't first grade material at some time , but I'd like to see him against men in a higher standard comp than NYC for a while. He'll get his chance over the Origin series and as a back up for Robbie.
If he doesn't want to wait then he probably leave. While no one wants to see that
It was only a matter of months ago when a lot on here were saying that we needed badly to keep Austen . I wonder how many now would feel the same. Where would he fit in?

With Farrah reportably on 850k plus a year would it be so bad to use that cash elsewhere and promote cherrington in a yr. (just saying).

The reality is he has a Contract with the Tigers till the end of the 2017 Season on big money and this late in his Career i don't think he is going anywhere on his own accord as i doubt many Clubs would pay the coin we are paying him.
But i do agree with you that Cherrington somehow has to be given minutes in 1st Grade or we could be in Danger of loosing a Super Talent.

I still rate Robbie one of the best Dummy-Halfs in the comp, but he is no longer a 80min player in this facet of his game. Add to this, the new ruling in the ruck, I perceive the game and dummy-half work is going to increase.

If the Wests Tigers are going to win more games than they lose in 2015, maintaining speed out of dummy-half is going to be vital. If Taylor is as progressive as some are telling us, I think Mania will play a lot of NRL this year.

The bigger question will be whether Farah is Interchanged or shifted elsewhere during these periods?

No, can't see him waiting.

Good luck to Robbie for getting what he wanted contract wise. Sadly though, I feel it will be to the detriment of the club, if not next season, definitely in 2017.

When is the ESL season?

Could Cherrington play ESL in 2016 on loan from us and also come back to play the SOO period?

Hopefully he sticks around.
Develops further and we do the 'ol Kingston/Segeyaro if he comes good.
Farah to NSW Cup and Cherrington to first grade …

When? Idk.

If Farah is the clubman he likes us to think he is,why wouldn't he share the hooker role with Cherrington in some games and let him gain NRL experience..
I really don't know but I don't think Farah would spit the dummy like Benji did, especially if he and JT workout a plan….

I know everyone will say why bench the capt etc,but this could be a win..win..situation for us...

I meant also to give Mania about 20 mins per selected game, not starting, but sometime during the game…Robbie will always be the no 1 as he should be...more like a shared role at times.....

Cherrington imo has a long way to go however he does look good. I'd like to see him play State cup this year and if he kills it then bring him into first grade in a bench role.

Robbie will just have to suck it up but you could easily move Robbie to lock or give him some time off.

Lol at all the Chicken Little's in this thread….Cherrington is contracted till the end of 2016....no one comes close as being the heir apparent to Farah within the Club...Manaia has close ties with Brooks Moses Teddy Sirro Nofo ie the future.....

He will see FG during Origin this Year and may well find himself with a roll on the Bench as the season progresses.....I also don't get the Robbie will have to suck it up stance as he gets older it's obvious the speed of the game will catch up with him and he will no longer be an 80 min player

farah will likely be away for soo or injury for 10 games during the season.

just keep his development going in reggies and he will get plenty of chances.

He needs to be in there on the bench prior to Origin starting, we don't want to throw him to the wolves and put enormous pressure on him when Farah is out. Keep him on the bench, havimg a rocket hooker on your bench will never be a bad thing. If Farah wants to spit the dummy he can leave, we are building towards the future.

So, let me get this right.
We have Farah, a current Australian and SOO player, who is also captain of the club.
We also have Cherrington, a very talented but unproven (amongst men) young hooker, who has not played even one game of NRL….
and some of you want us to dump Farah on speculation? :crazy
