Will it be a sellout?

Saturday night games there are always chockers. - I don't know why they dont just do sat night/sun arvo games there.

Monday night games are a bit of a head scratcher there for me, since C/Town and the surrounds, (much like where I am in Mount Annan is very much a strong mortgage belt, and the people there who generally buy tickets are the ones most likely to miss a game coming home from work in the city, or in the surrounds…..

As much as everyone loves to payout on the dole bludger "lower socio-economic" surrounds that are associated with the Macarthur area, all jokes aside, dole bludgers can't buy tickets to footy games.

I love a Saturday night game there - you get to rock up early, kick back and watch the BRET lads and u/20's, then kick on into the evening.

The WEATHER is fine the track is good.
There is no cityrail delays (TRACKWORK).
No excuses for the lovely folks of the mcarthur region to get out and support their side.
Everyone knows who is playing and what time the game is .
Monday night under lights at Campbo is a great night out .

No excuses? How about both my kids have free passes but there's no way I'm taking an 8 and 6 year old to a football game that kicks off at a time they are getting tucked into bed and having stories, even though I'm 5 mins drive away. NRL don't give a rats ass about families. It's all about tv timeslots. Monday night footy is shit, always has and always will be. Bring back the 3pm Saturday kickoff for the Rugby League families.

2 Friday night games, 1 Saturday afternoon game,2 Saturday night games and 3 Sunday afternoon. Then I beleve they will make a difference with crowd numbers.

Ask the broadcasters

yes I suppose you are right ink - My understanding is Foxtels Monday night game is the equivalent of the sunday arvo game on nine - it's their "first dibs" when it comes to broadcasting.

They are trying to woo the West and they put a Campbelltown game on a Monday night??. They then hand out free kiddies passes but as parents have already mentioned, who is going to take a youngster to a 7pm kickoff on a school night?

You seriously have to wonder who is running the game

Foxtel/Channel Nine don't care about "winning the battle of the west" by putting bums in seats Alf, they're worried about their ratings so they'll take the best games on offer.

Funnily enough though, it could well be a dire affair with both teams not exactly setting the world alight, injury hit and missing key players so Foxtel may pay the price for picking this as their Monday night game.

I do agree with you though, the NRL needs to have better input in scheduling of games in order to bolster ground attendance. Release the draw at the beginning of the year and allow teams to evenly distribute their home games (particularly teams like the Saints and ourselves with multiple grounds,) in accordance with their allotment.

Here, Here, I don't have any young kids, but I totally agree with your idea, but of course it's all to do with the "Fox" rights :crazy

Yep….and who they (FOX) choose for MNF also affects 9 the following week , as those teams cant play the Fri

allright lets weigh a few things up…
have we won latelly or atleast played well and lost NO!
saying this will fans make that extra effort on a monday night NO!
are we injury free and fielding a side that is confident in their role within the team NO!
will it be a sellout... i think there is more chance of us signing sbw
