Wille Mason Thread

Leaving aside the fact that we have in Ellis a genuine bona fide 80 minute version of everything that Big Willie pretends to be….the discard from the past two seasons' wooden spooners poisons every club he touches.
Thats why hes struggling to get a gig elsewhere after being shown the door by Easts.
We dont need 82 pages to debate this one surely?

He's brought both the previous clubs he's played for to their knees, bad role model for a young team on the way up.

Yes he is a trouble maker at times but he is also a crowd favourite.

I have never seen him be a fan favorite. Every game I have been to that Mason has played in people have booed him and have called him a wanker. If Wests were to sign him Wests supporters would still boo him and call him a wanker.

He will probably go to Japanese Rugby..

Everything in my body tells me that he would be a disruptive influence, heartless cupcake that doesn't deserve to wear the orange, white and black jersey…..............but...................for some strange reason, when I read the misleading thread name, I got excited.

Dont be surprised if Wille scores a very good paying gig in Japan. I just hope he doesn't urinate in the street over there because it is treated a bit different over there.

every time i hear the name taumata i feel as though im walking on eggshells. if we bought Mason, would Taumata survive? Otherwise i dont think Mason could influence a fella such as Ellis.

im sure he'll be dining out on sushi next year any way as far away from us as possible! he is a walking head line of the worst kind.. Japs will love him thow especially if he grows his afro back he'd be a cult hero.

On his day he's one of the most destructive players in the world. 3 years ago I would have said yes in a heart beat. I think he struggles for motivation now, the only really great game he's played since playing for the chooks is against the Dogs last year. In my opinion he carries too much baggage for such a high price tag.

Again, really poor thread title.

And no I don't believe he would bring a positive influence to this club.

Waste of time even discussing imo.

Spot on! He's over-rated and past it. I know 1 fan who wouldn't turn up if he was signed … my son ... he cried and went for Qld in 2007 when Mason ran out for NSW in the #11 jersey ...it was his jersey number for footy ...

thankfully he would not come to wests-tigers now that Steve Folkes is there.
there is penty of career prospects for him in japan.
once he stops playing any type of footy, he can let himself increase his weight and become a sumo wrestler.

I don't think so. Lote may be past his best, but he doesn't carry the same baggage as Mason. think of it like this, pre 2008 the Dogs are a team of rat bags, getting into all sorts of off-field problems, while the Roosters are pretty well behaved. in 2008 Mason moved to the Roosters, the Dogs all of a sudden clean up their act and the Roosters are a mob of rat bags. I think Mason could have something to do with it, he's a bad influence.
