one of the guys at work today walked up to me and what about big willie being a Tiger, I asked him where heard that crap and said he got a text from somwebody he knows at the Tigers saying they were talking to him today and he's already done a medical.

I can't take the credit for this but hubby said **he was having a brain scan**.

Our tip Willie to Newcastle.

Yeah it came back negative!!

That's a bit harsh guys , he does have a brain he just hasn't taken it out of the box yet and turned it on

Willie offers something on the field, off the field he has the potential to be a bad influence, not worth the risk IMO

Over the last few seasons, what he offered "on the field" was not up to NYC team level.

I thought he went well for the cowboys.
Apparently in France he arrogantly thought it be better than the other guys already there and refused to learn. not surprisingly he didn't get a go before getting flicked. The only guy not to clear the satisfactory transition clause.

I also thought he was ok for the Cowboys, however that was in 2010 and has played very little since in any code.

The only reason you would bring a player with Mason's past on field experience to the club is to assist with the younger players. However as others have already pointed out his attitude and ability to cause trouble make him unsuitable for this role, especially when we already have very professional role models in our side (Ellis & Rowdy come straight to mind)

Happy new year all.

I can confirm sheensy has spoken with Mason. But no medical or anything like that has been done. But it's well and truly on the cards.

Not real keen on this idea at all. Who know's I guess, if it does happen, he could surprise us all, but I wouldn't be holding my breath.

If Mason does join the Tigers, plays of the bench, puts on some good hits, makes some good metres, doesnt stuff up off the field, makes a contribution to the team then i dont see why not..

i suddenly have a sharp pain in my chest!!!! geez

Tape his mouth shut and i have a gut feeling he will be an asset. Howver, if he opens his mouth he could be a disaster for this club

The walking back page seems to have one foot in the door at camp Concord, its not sending a positive message to the likes of BMM

I have mixed emotions about this if it is true or does eventuate into anything. On one side I'm curious about what Mason could potentially ad to the side. Experience, depth and a big man who can hit the ball up. On the other side there's the denial of opportunities to younger players and the potential for him to carry on like a complete wood duck.
Sheens has shown in the past that he won't take any crap from players who have attitude problems and I don't think he would sign him unless he was absolutely certain of what he would add to the side.

The offer has been there for a while, it doesn't have a time limit, guys just remember we have lost Lauren Gibbs Dwyer fifita we are missing experience and impact in that sense, I'm just saying under sheens this could be an awesome pick up, ad far as I know he want to play for a contender and it's not about money, we are one of 4 Sydney clubs who he has had talk with up until this week

If I was a "gambling" man id be looking at sportingbets $9 offered for the tigers picking him up, I'd say we are a better then 50/50 to get his signature

And that was meant to say payten not Lauren damn auto correct

LOL, I was wondering who Lauren was. So was the $120,000 you said would be reasonable for Mason, our offer?

I hope he ends up elsewhere because I think I will find it very hard to barrack for that bloke.
