With almost all teams below/around us moving forward with coaches/recruits, I feel next season might be our first spoon in when ot our history


We win a game with 10 to go and down by 14 and your talking wooden spoon next season.

OP posted during the game and can't be blamed. We were atrocious for a lot of the game even when we were trying. Our pack were losing the ruck terribly. It wasn't until we had a set in defence where DCE had to kick from the 20 that we looked like the team from a couple of months ago.

Calling people nuffies when they are down at a time like this shouldn't be that hard to avoid.

He posted during the game mate after a number of weeks of awful performances. How were you feeling about the team at half time yesterday? I was ready to tear my hair out.

I wasnt fussed TBH, our season was done so the pressure is off. Plus I thought we were a chance of getting back into the contest when possession evened up a bit. We weren't playing disgracefully even though we were getting beat early .

I think if we sign nobody we will have possibly the worst forward pack next year and a slow team in general, but if we buy one awesome forward and JAC it will be different. Depends on signings.

We beat dogs barely who are meant to be the worst team and just beat Manly without Turbo and Dylan Walker but us full strength. Harry has probably been our best player this year and he is leaving so have to see how Liddle goes, hopefully he has a full year. I don't think the OP is making an emotional post to say we will be expected to be a bottom team next year. Gotta lot of work to do in off season with signings and development. Who we buy will be the difference.

If we struggle to make big moves might be a similar tough year till we release Packer Mbye Reynolds.

Fair enough. I empathise with the OP. I made the mistake of watching the game sober which didn't help.

Last night and the last few games have somewhat been about touches gone awry, bad handling or just the bounce of the ball.

As soon as we had possession, we showed what we could do.

I think if we focus on those small moments, we'll go OK next year.

Gee talk about negative nellies and discussing the spoon for next year....we will make the 8 next year with a great off season and Madge leading the way,Benji not in the team and some of our young guys will be better for this years run...
I cant wait to renew my membership because next year is going to be fantastic for us...WE WONT BE ANYWHERE NEAR THE SPOON.....make sure you mark this post for future reference...

I think our worst is a lot worse compared to Dragons and Manly. They have star/SOO players like Hunt, Bird, Lomax, Vaughan and Trbojevics, DCE, Taupau who will win them minimum 4 games. Our only strike player is LL and Laurie is a potential but will need 2 years to learn the trade before he wins us games.

Our competition is with the Sharks and Knights to compete for the final spots in the Top 8.

It was a poor game against one of the favourites for the comp. Actually, it was just a poor second half.

No need to start talking about wooden spoons.

I watched every game this weekend , and more than half the comp barely fired a shot . Some teams like the warriors won , just because someone had to . Their attack is non existent , but they have big boppers . The Titans look like they haven’t got a creative player in the team , even though , they’ve spent millions on 3 of them , the dogs looked beyond awful , the dragons are horrendous , manly are definitely the worst team and cowboys are not good either . We played a top 4 side. T

Well I admit that I’m often wrong ..... but I recon with this squad it’s going to be a rollercoaster ride this year ...... so strap yourselves in for the ups and downs.
Whatever eventuates it will be a good platform for next year so for me anyway .... I don’t expect any miracles.

I predicted we would finish 6th this year and after yesterday i havent changed my mind.We were the better team in the first half but as is always the case with Sutton he referees a team to win it,Raiders stood offside all game but not penalised for it.We started the 2nd half very poorly and could not recover.Twice Suttons terrible decisions were overruled by the bunker,it was only after the game was over that he decided to make to pretend he was objective and give us any momentum.
We wont win it this year but we certainly wont get a spoon even though we will probably lose again this week.Our initial draw is very tough

We showed yesterday that we can compete with good teams. We just need to do it for 80 minutes rather than 50-60.

We were going well until Garner gave up a dumb penalty then concede a try and the kickoff goes out on the full. That’s where we fall over, ill discipline and compounding errors. If we fix that we won’t be anywhere near the spoon.

I haven't watched the game after reading about it so I'm not being critical or negative about yesterday. I hope as the year goes on combinations start to form that can actually help us win tight moments.
