Woods may have stayed if Ivan had come earlier

I don't want Woods on big dollars. But if he's signed at say 600k he would be a good lock with a Packer and Matulino.
The bigger issue is the NRL allowing big name players to switch clubs over the salary cap.

SOME clubs.

For 600K I would say sign. With the pool increasing to 9.2 Million + tpa's I would reckon we could go too 700-800\. The 920k contract he was offered was incredibly good and our front row does not need a superhero (although may settle for a 28 year old Gallen or Smith.).

I reckon he will be in the blue and white, happy if he stays in the Orange and Black. That being said even if he does leave, it would be nice for him to part on warmer terms. Remember he has watched Sheens, Potter then Taylor get thrown out as coaches. I understand him leaving after a 4th in not so many years, I understand him coming back if he sees stability here. Lets be dignified and build a strong Wests Tigers as opposed to hissing cats.

He might be a dill some times, but I love his offloads. It would be a formidable pack if we held onto him.
Probably won't happen, still who knows what's going to happen with the cap.

We've been hearing this sort of talk for a while. Things are up in the air at the Dogs. Wests Tigers would like to keep him. Is this all spin? Another story that makes us feel better towards him. Is this all about Woods' image? He leaves but we're all left feeling that he really wanted to stay. I know I'm loosing respect for him but then I see him play and I want him to stay. It's doing my head in.

If the Dogs have to offload players they have real bad talent which no one will take. Klemmer, Jackson, Elliott, Hopoate and the often injured Morris twins.
They will be in a real mess if they don't lose a star or two.
They would have to subsidise Eastwood, Graham, Mbye etc.

? There would be more than a few clubs willing to take Klemmer, Jackson or Elliot.

Surely they will take Woods even if only for one week so he can off load off his chest all his gripes than he can at least die in peace.

That's interesting, we are in need of a forward or 2 for next year, but he hasn't been completely honest with events this year. At the right price he would be fine though.

Was kinda more interested and then disappointed with the article about Corey Harawira-Naera and how close we were there.

If he were to stay, i guess he'd be the signing that we've all been counting on from a side with cap restraints. Hilarious if the Dogs were forced to pay some of his salary without him even leaving us and we end up paying him only 400-500k. And we're the basket case of a club?

It's nice to think that we are in position that we don't really need him but it would be nice!
However if it came down to make a choice between Woods and James Graham ….. I know who I would be taking.
