Woods may have stayed if Ivan had come earlier

Woods is now saying he may miss World Cup selection because we're not in the finals and so others will be noticed while he sits on the sidelines. Nothing to do with his last SOO performance!

Don't worry Woodsy, playing at a powerhouse like the Dogs next year will have everyone taking notice.

Woods is such a moron.

Aaron's a prop who's done little else but play football - it's not surprising he's not a member of Mensa. I do, however, think many of his woes have been caused by his management. It's fairly apparent these managers have little interest in the welfare of their charges and are only concerned with their commission.
I'm sure most players don't want to be involved in contract negotiations so it's easy for the managers to puppet them wherever they want - even if it's doing the player a disservice.

Well said

He needs to learn to avoid the media and keep his mouth shut. Unfortunately with his genius management he is looking for additional income through paid appearances where he is forced to move away from answers he should have prepared (like finishing up with us and going to dogs) and deliver off the cuff comments.
I hope his manager is making the most of his 7% of this while he runs down Woods long term brand.
Then again Woods appears completely unprepared for expected questions, either that, or he can't remember the script

I'll never forget Paul Kent looking at him like a moron when Woods tried to say he had not even looked at any offers 2 weeks before he signed with the Bulldogs. Absolutely hopeless liar.

He'll be a laughing stock.

I don't reckon that would happen at all. Both sides are primed with reasonable excuses / spin (whatever you want to call it) if the Bulldogs deal was to fall through. Plenty of Tigers fans would react negatively but the wider NRL community would just shrug and let it move on, and it would reflect worst on the Bulldogs club, part of their wider failings as a club this year.

If Joel monahan can continue to show hie face and run onto the park each week …anythings achievable

The majority of fans have short memories...I know some people take things differently to others, if he came back I wouldnt forget how he went about things this year, but he is very distant from me, ( and most players - if theyre smart - are very distant from the fans) he plays in a team I support, its not like hes marrying my daughtter

I want all 3 of the saps to leave this club as quickly as possible but in the right situation I'd welcome them back. I'd hate to see Woods as captain or any of them being offered similar money to what we have previously offered them. I think these guys have shown they have no loyalty to the club and I'd offer them significantly less than (at least 1/2 less) what they were previously offered.

I don't think any of them will be coming back or staying here though and I think that is the best outcome. I'd like the club to put this whole bunch of drama behind them. I honestly think we should be really careful with betting the house on players who aren't ready to perform or players that aren't that good.

Would always be open to having Woods or Tedesco back at WT, they may have said a few stupid things here and there (neither seem intelligent IMO) but they still have enough honour and respect to put in on the training paddock and on game day. Moses however is a complete different kettle of fish, he disrupted and moped through training and put in shocking performances on the field- to the extent that fans considered him to not be trying on game day. That is the behaviour of a low piece of filth, to be dogging it on the club, fans and worst of all: his teammates. Under no circumstances whatsoever would I want that mongrel back at WT, would love to see a bounty placed on him every time we face him and his scummy mates at Parra. Whoever wipes him out of a game by fair means or foul gets a cash incentive. He is a rotten, low excuse for a man. Can't believe you would be happy to welcome him back Earl.

I wonder what fluffy comments he could be quoted with in a potential press release announcing he's staying. He can't exactly say he never wanted to leave.

Good ol Sonny Bill was feted as a GF hero after walking out on his contract with the Dogs and taking off overseas in the middle of the comp a few years ago - more selfish and worse behaviour than anything Woods and Tedesco have ever done, imo. Dogs fans may not have been too happy to see him back with the Roosters at first, but all was forgiven eventually and he was deemed the greatest thing since slice bread when the Roosters won the comp.

And let's not forget the growing list of wife bashers that are embraced by their clubs, given a slap on the wrist, but allowed to keep playing in the NRL year after year. I don't need to name them, you all know who they are. These guys are the real pieces of filth, scumbags and low lifes of the world, not players like Woods and Tedesco. Perspective is everything.

I wouldn't be happy with any of them coming back. I think Moses behaviour was terrible but I don't think Woods or Tedesco were much better. These guys were always trying to screw the club over.

I think the signing decisions each of the fab 4 made was reasonably predictable and I don't begrudge players making those decisions. How they handled the transition though is what makes the difference and none of the 3 leaving, handled it well in the media. That said, of the 3, I'd be happy to see Woods back if not on megabucks and no longer the captain.

I don't see Cleary wanting Woods back. Too much invested in the front row in Packer and Matulino. I hope it backfires tbh Dogs have form with Fifita.

The difference between how Woods and Tedesco have behaved since they announced they were leaving compared to the petulant, gutless way Moses behaved is chalk and cheese IMO. An immense difference.
Moses is a dishonourable worm. The absolute worst type of virus-like human you could ever have involved in your footy club let alone as a mate.

I agree Moses is a complete and utter scum of a human being. I honestly don't rate Woods or Tedesco much higher than him though. They have all been spoilt petulant brats.

It's gossip but Manly over the cap if it's not 10 million have to shed players and Taupau only just got new contract the other month with upgrades it's in limbo but there are few players like that also

Player agents got greedy told players you will make so much money

I wouldn't think Manly would be over the cap as they save $1Mill from B Stewart and Matai

Yeah but they might have had to back end guys like Tom Trbojevic, Jake Trbojevic, Marty Taupau and Dylan Walker while they had Matai and B Stewart on the books taking up fat cap space. Plus the DCE salary doesn't help.

You could be correct, it would be interesting to know exactly which clubs are over the cap next year.

Plus Sirro has to be payed from there cap and the winger from Newcastle is still on 550K next year last year from his Newcastle contract
