Tigers players involved in Cook Islands vs. USA;

Joel Luani - USA
Keith Lulia - Cook Islands

So be watching it. 10-10 at half time. USA doing well. Cook Islands have a lot of good NRL players but are pretty lacking in the halves. **Lulia has been having a bit of a shocker so far. Started watching after Luani came on.**

Lulia had a shocker alright but wouldn't judge him on just one game. Luani started the game didn't he. Then he was replaced after 25 or so minutes and didn't get back on the field from what I saw, but I fell asleep at the end so hopefully he didn't get injured also?

Shame there's no replay, would like to see this game. Quite a few American born players in the squad at least, good experience for them.

9 i believe, but only one true yank. michael garvey.

curtis cunz and apple pope shoulda made the side. probably some others that i dont know of too

Here's a snippet from $BW being interviewed at the World Cup about his grand final performance for the Roosters…..
Courtesy of AAP

"I could not have had a worse start in the grand final," he said.

"I dropped a couple of balls which led to tries and then I went in at half-time **and my mental strength blocked everything out**.

"I was really low on confidence but I said to the boys: 'I'm gonna run hard and work as hard as I can. I expect you to do the same.'

"This came from me, a guy who's had the worst half of his year, telling the boys that this is what I was going to do. **So I went out in the second half and did exactly that and we won**. I put pressure on myself to do it."

**What a w#nker!**

He really is a world class tool!
He'll be shown up this world cup by our backrowers. Gallen, Thaiday, Lewis and co may not be as flashy but they work the entire 80 minutes and will prove that he would be lucky to be in the games top 5 backrowers.
BTW, I didnt think his first half in the gf was his worst for the year. He generally played like that and then made breaks late in the game when defences tired, mainly due to him still being fresh as he bludged the first 60 …which in turn caused headlines that he was a superstar. He is good, but would struggle to make the Kangaroos for mine.

The Aussies starting to hit their straps now. GI may well unseat Billy for the finals.

Lewis coming home with a dislocated shoulder. Aussies lacked a bit of discipline in the 2nd half

Yeah they are a bit rusty but once Sheens picks his final 17 and sticks to it they will hit top gear. Deadset shame for Lewis. He had a great game as well up until that point.

Pretty poor conditions out there today, but the scoreline was as expected.

Michael Jennings is a bloody good attacking Centre, but geez he is terrible at setting up his outside man… He could have really put ideas into the selectors heads today, but on that performance, he may as well come home!

The game was a bit of a bludge. The conditions really hampered the Fijian's attacking weapons and they never really did anything of note. Aussies were strong. Thurston had another cracker.

Pity it had to be Luke Lewis getting injured, there are plenty of scummy humans in the Aussie team that deserved it more.

Was pretty funny to lip-read Boyd Cordner after he went over to see how Lewis was doing straight after the injury…....."poor #*#t, he's #*#ked"!
