PNG were very disappointing this morning. Samoa looked good in the 20-odd minutes I saw before leaving for work. Sue looked very busy.

PNG used to be the next biggest team in our region. If they continue to play like that, will the Prime Minister's XIII start playing against Fiji, Samoa or Tonga?

Another fantastic game this morning. This has easily the best RLWC I've ever seen. Competitive games, no massive blowouts (although I worry how many the Roos will put on Ireland), teams really having a dig, decent crowds (and well thought out venues). If it's on in Oz in 2017 I'll be making sure I get to some games.

Apparently tickets were already booked for USA to go home after the group stages and they ended up topping their pool.

Interesting tidbit, USA led Australia in 2004, 24-6 (from memory) at half time. Aus obviously won in the end comfortably by a couple of tries. But i was amazed upon hearing it.
Hopefully USA can pull of a similar 1st half upset, or even 2nd half. :laughing:
Too bad it's not bloody on in America…... Still, looking through other forums, RLWC is generating a little bit of buzz in USA from interested yanks. Although they usually think it's union, but like it by the end (presumably cause they've won every game haha ).

I remember that game, think we took them easy in the first half….think it was in the US or hawaii but I dunno if it was an actual WC game...maybe trial?
