Does seem to have some form.. A friend used to be on staff at the Panthers and was verbally abused and almost assaulted when he was ruled out of a game. Nice.

Fox don't have rights and no the only game I've seen scheduled for replays are the Australian ones.
Pretty shit coverage from 7 all round. They have 3 channels, they could manage 2 games a day

Fox don't have rights and no the only game I've seen scheduled for replays are the Australian ones.

That's absolutely disgraceful coverage. It's such a shame that the powers that be let game be bled dry by television. Channel 9 and 7 should be breaking their backs to meet the needs of the game, not the other way around.

Have to catch them live unfortunately (except for the Aussie games which are replayed. The quarter finals, semi finals and grand final will be all replayed at least as well), even difficult to even find match highlights anywhere. The coverage, quite frankly, is atrocious.

The IRL and the NRL really need to take a good hard look at themselves and how they are promoting the game, cause it looks like they aren't putting in much effort to promote it at all.

I find those free tv ads really ironic. Free to air locks out more live sport than pay tv do. Why buy the rights to the world cup and only show it once. I'm sure there's room for a replay on 7 two or 7mate at some stage through the day. I'm sick of seeing rugby league whored out the highest bidder. It's a sad day when we can watch NFL games live on free to air television in Australia, yet have to wait an hour for a commercial filled NRL game.

Yeah agree 100%. In a previous post I commmented that when I was looking for replays on Saturday (or maybe Sunday - one of them anyway!) 7-Mate were showing replays of that dopey International Rules series that I'm sure even most diehard AFL fans couldn't give a toss about. Surely that's when the replays could have gone on. I thought the whole purpose of having these digital channels was to give the space to do this kind of coverage.

I just think it a massive missed chance. I'm not going to stay up overnight to watch PNG v France (actually I saw the last 10 minutes but that's another story) but I would watch the replay the next day when I was actually awake. As you suggest, the awarding of the rights to 7 actually means more RL fans are missing out.

The problem is not watching games live - most people can get 7-Mate on the TV even if they can't on Foxtel. The issue for me is finding a replay of the games

I wouldn't read too much into it Happy, I would say Pat is probably in a bit of holiday mode before he knuckles down to the grind of the NRL soon. No-one would have stopped Uate's 1st try from such close range.

Pat didn't really seem to want to get too involved but his kick-offs and drop-outs will be an awesome addition next season, only problem is we don't have too many players apart from Nofo and perhaps Simona that are good enough at leaping high and snatching the high kick-offs for it to be of much benefit. We will need some serious work under the high ball in the off season.

How much of a shambles was it that Pat basically had to step up from a trench onto the playing surface to attempt his sideline conversion in the 1st half? Surely real estate isn't that pricey over there that they couldn't afford an extra metre of land beyond the sideline? 😕 Amateur hour.

The Sims brothers were in their best "look how tough I am" mode, particularly Ashton. Would have loved to have seen him get knocked out by one of the Leprachauns.
