Yeah weak beer, definitely needs a large dash of stout.4.2% weak as piss!!
Agreed, I love my big IPA’s most of the good ones are around 6.5 and above. Had a Kiwi one a few weeks ago in Queenstown that was 10.9.Anything under 5% I consider mid-strength.
Very interesting mate, have always preferred Coopers Pale Ale for the cloudy sediment in the bottom of the bottle, turn upside down and give it a rattle it's a good, flavoured beer.I stumbled on this the other day. Interesting if true.

Just recently bought a carton of Crown Lager, having trouble drinking it, tastes nothing like it did decades ago, probably has all these foreign ingredients going away from the original recipe, will never switch from Coopers again.
Coopers stout is a good drop too it has an extra kick if you like a dark beer but getting a bit pricey these days, will buy next for a treat.I agree about Cooper's Pale Ale being the best mass produced beer in the country, amazing when you realise that SA gets the worst quality water on the mainland of all the capital cities.

My better half bought me a carton of Guiness for St Patricks day. I got my taste back for stout and have been drinking Coopers Stout since the Guiness ran out. To me the Coopers is not as rich, has iess body but still a tasty drop, and made in Aus. Otherwise its coopers pale.I actualy prefer Cooper's Stout to the Guiness we get made here.if you can get bottled Guinness from Ireland though that is superb and the best stout i have ever had in a bottle or can.
They say good independent beers are Balter and Stone & Wood. Not sure if still brewed where they always have been with same methods, but have been owned by CUB and Lion respectively for 5+ yearsI stumbled on this the other day. Interesting if true.
