BJ would be in my team every week.

His brother copped a high shot and he gave one back.

We've missed a bit of aggression for a very long time.

I love aggression as much as anyone else but there’s a time and place to give one back ...
BJ is a knucklehead

I agree BJ has got to choose his payback a bit more subtly, but I'm glad he dished it out, as for a long time we've had no one ballsy enough to do it.

I would’ve been happy if he’d belted Kikau

And now we pay the price cos he showed balls.

BJ out is a huge loss.

I don't think people realise how significant his charges from our own line have been. He is often taking that dirty hit up off our line and drawing 3 to 4 defenders. It compensates for our lack of bigs who can do that. It has created tons of space for Grant to work in.

Hoffman is a kid, yet to even play much at reserve grade level. Will be an absolutely massive step up against huge backs for Souths, Parra etc next few weeks.

Really disappointed in BJ as we needed him the next month badly.

i can't believe anyone is supporting it. It's just dumb rugby league.

Is anybody on here REALLY surprised by BJ’s actions?
It’s such a shame he will miss four weeks as our right side has been the most potent attack in the NRL to date. Hopefully he evolves and wins back the respect of his teammates and WT community by accepting responsibility for his undisciplined actions and gets fit as fu*k over the month of his suspension.
Will he?
If not, why not?

I’m excited to see more of our young squad compete in first grade in any event.

While they’re at it...perhaps the match committee can suspend Robert Jennings as well... what would the charge be?

Being an impostor.

i.e. pretending to be a first grade RL player.

It’s love goggles. If Kikau did that to Talau, people would want 8 weeks minimum.

It annoys me cos we’ve never had a player whose committed such a low act. I can’t even remember the longest suspension one of our players have served. Wouldn’t be more than a few weeks. So the fact this thug has brought this stuff to the club, I find it highly annoying. And I know someone will respond with you can’t get far with cleanskins, you need some mongrel, what good is mongrel when you are sitting on the sidelines for a month. He’s a good player on his day, but personally he’s a goose who I have little respect for. To go into business for himself like he did, and throw the backline into chaos, he deserves a back hander from the supporters more than Cleary does.

Dude, *cough* Hopoate *cough cough*

Edit: Sorry I see this has already been said and replied to.

His suspension will I think be sufficient punishment. I thought the Panthers played pretty rough and got away with it all night, considering they put two of our blokes out of the match with careless football.

BJ lost his head but we weren't in a match-winning position, it was after the final play.

Still think 4 weeks is harsh for a love tap.
2 weeks max .

Fonua Blake is only looking at 3 for calling the ref a F......retard !

How many weeks can a bloke get for being

How many weeks can someone get for getting sent off in general? Or is it just dependent on the Incident e.g. mouthing off the ref

I Dunno ?‍♂️ mate ?

I have read in the news media criticising us for buying BJ...However we needed a centre and I think Madge thinks he can change BJ as a player and person..I hope he does, because if BJ keeps going he will spend more time in the grandstand than on the field...
BJ has a heap of firepower in the centres,is tough and competitive,Madge has to harness his playing power and really try to get through BJ s head that his errors and brain snaps will cost us plenty of games and inevitably his career if he doesn't change...

if Jennings is fit then he would go to wing and Talau to centres
surely we do not blood a new centre / winger

You would be joking Jedi.

You wouldn't let that "Bludger" near the first grade team.

Not even to put out the witches hats.
