Would you take Todd Carney at the Tigers?

YES…. He needs to be around a Club who manages its players off the field well, and I feel he can get that at the Tigers.

him getting into trouble all those times is his own fault

Im with Watto, if one of your kids was an alcoholic would you throw them into the gutter or would you try to help him.
I very much doubt they will sack him when all is said and done.

He isnt an alcoholic…he's just a typical young Australian male who cant handle his grog. Theres thousands of them out there.

Under no circumstances would I support the Tiges buying him. He's the last thing we need here if we are to blood so many younguns over the next year or so.

has all the skills but the no DH policy definately applies in this case. todd needs to prove he has got his act together, not just give lip service to those who are close to him and employ him.

since when are the roosters about to sack him?
believe it when i see it, he's too important to the team.

to answer the question, yes…
imagine teams trying to defend against a team which has both benji and tc in it.
diabolical in attack, so much creativity and spark, sucks to be any one coming up against something like that.

we will see....

No thanks he would be an awful influence at the club he dosent seem to have respect for anyone or anything including himself. He would be a walking time bomb

I would take him but its a risk. Theirs a lot more to consider other than winning football matches. The weststigers through a lot of hard work have established a very strong brand name and we are one of the few clubs who actually seem to be able to attract sponsorship, it dosnt take much to undo a lot of good work, mud sticks. Alfred E Newman or should I say Todd Carney has a lot to offer and I think he could be roped in, total booze ban are not the way to go, he needs heaps of good guys around him and he will get that at the Tigers. Anyway not going to happen

nonononononononono!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :crazy
The risk to the stability of the club would be jeaopardised. We are bringing young players through. You don't think he'd take a few along the rocky path?

N o thanks he is a complete dip stick and likes the booze over his duties as a player.\
thats how I feel about that to say he is also an oxegen thief.

I think he himself has called himself an alcho.

As for the question: No.

How goods he been this year?

Yes. But only under Sheens.

If Sheens ever leaves for whatever reason outside of contract, Carney can go as well.

Any other coach, no.

x 2 We have had just about zero off feild indiscretions and think that has a lot to do with Sheens. Id take him as a half or fullback

Zero off field discretions?

Laffranchi's rape allegations after 2005 GF
Gibbs assaulting a cop at the races
Daine Laurie and Rob Lui's domestic violence charges
Benji's altercation with the goose outside Maccas earlier this year
Gibbs, Fulton and Ryan on the piss when there was a ban on alcohol
And I think there was some problem with some lower grade players a couple of years ago, as well

Would hardly call that a perfect track record under Sheens. Whilst I know the boys were cleared of any wrong doing in most of these incidences, they still happened and mud tends to stick, unfortunately. I'm not trying to bag out Sheens or the club, just pointing out that we haven't been quite as squeaky clean, off field, as many of you seem to believe.

As for signing Carney? The guy is such a talent, would've taken him in a heartbeat once, but not now. He just seems to cause too much trouble wherever he goes and it affects the team's performance as well as his own.

Carney = poison . No thanks

But in his defence: has he drunk? Yes. Has he hurt anyone ? No . Has he been disorderly ? No . Worst he has done is blow 0.052 the morning after a bender! Seems to me that he has learned from his mistakes at Canberra and is no longer misbehaving whilst drinking . I consider him to be a decent citizen .

My issue is with carney the footballer .The reason why I liken him to Poison is that This year he has shown lack of proffessionalism and contempt for his team mates. The contempt is contagous , watts , myles , FPN ….....He and his team mates swore off the booze , he broke a commitment he had made to his team mates . To me that speaks volumes about a guy . I would not want him by my side in a trench .

Possibly
If he agreed to sign for league minimum and agreed to one indiscretion and he was gone maybe
Hell of a lot of risks involved with his sgnature
Tigers only want to deal with cleanskins so I can't see it happening
