Would you want Farah for 1 more year?

Time to leave RF alone. I'm almost as big a fan as @Demps but he has done his time.

MY prediction is JRey to do well and then head to UK for final year of his contract.

LIDDLE to finally take off upon his return

@NT_Tiger You need a hug or something?
The point of this thread is IF Robbie CHOSE to come back for one more season, how would everyone feel?
I’m sure we will be pursuing a quality hooker very soon, as of now, if we can just fill the hooker role with a quality player it will strengthen our spine.
Robbie liked... played with a broken leg ( correct me if I’m wrong with the injury) but he played on after a serious injury, and returned in a quick fashion, health/fitness wise I’m sure he could go on.
He’s a true tiger, and knowing that his replacement is out for majority of next season, I’m sure he has thought about it.
Again, if HE chose to come back, are you telling me you would be disappointed?

@Elderslie_Tiger So if he chose to come back for one last season, would you be disappointed?

@Sabre Seems logical to me, I’m sure after next season we will have more options, and more cash to go hunting for a quality hooker, we just need a good hooker for 2020.
I saw no sign of Father Time effecting Robbie in 2019.
The Dude Is all heart.
I think his experience along with benji, brooks and Latrell ( Assuming he signs with us )would make our spine super deadly, plus I think he would play for cheap, just like benji, in order to get the club to the finals.

@Chaos Robbie couldn't keep up in his last games, he was gassed. And i'm not referring to the final game vs the Sharks, I mean before that. His running game is behind him, he just doesn't have the pace anymore. His tactic of picking the ball up at dummy half and taking a step or two is now slower than before and giving away too much time.

He's a Wests Tigers great, but he's done.

@TigerTiger If you compare his stats to cook, his stats are still solid 6 tries to cooks 3 , 6 line breaks to cooks 7, 24 points to cooks 12 15 forced drop outs to cooks 8, 15 errors to cooks 22, 29 missed tackles to cooks 43 ( although cook made more tackles- while playing more games as well).
While there are a lot of stats Cook was better, cook also had the better team.
Comparing Robbie to other players, his stats hold up strongly.
I felt Robbie played good in 2019 and statistics support that.
I Still think if Robbie wanted to play another year, he would be an asset.

@Spud_Murphy Who would be better then Robbie at the 9 for 2020?
Lots of ppl saying Reynolds or Mbye, when they most likely will not be wearing a tigers jersey for much longer, next season potentially could be their last season with the tigers.
I think 2020 will be a fill in year until we can get a quality hooker in 2021.
Therefore, I think Robbie could fill in and be effective.
Plus having him will only strengthen the group.

@Chaos Ultimately, if it was up to me, then I'd go no. But it's up to the coach /administration to work out that call, and they picked him in the last game last year which I wouldn't have. That I didn't think work out well, but I trusted them to make that call, and now I am trusting them to learn from it.

In short, I'm trying to say that if Maguire decided to lure him back and pick him, then I'd back the coach's decision, and do my best to put my own reservations aside.

@TigerTiger Say Robbie put his hand up to play one more year, is there another player on the team you believe would be more suited or perform better for the year?

I really admired his effort and attitude on the field but his time is definately over.He seems to realise that and it is time for the future not the past

@Chaos Not really. There's players I hope can step up as hooker, maybe Reynolds, maybe MBye, maybe even Benji and Taylor job sharing, maybe Britain, maybe Walters, maybe even Simpkins? But I 'm pretty sure that Robbie isn't the right answer.
