People are willing to support things, but they just don't for what ever reason. So the best way to get a bit of coin is to ask!
Most people wouldn't donate to a charity without being promoted. How many times have you walked past a Daffodil Day stall without buying anything, but as soon as one of the volunteers comes up to you, you end up spending $5-$10… and you are happy to do that!
People are more than happy to donate to charities but they usually don't do the physical action of donating until they are put on the spot. I'd imagine the same mentality would occur with season tickets (***cough*** memberships ***cough***)
