Pull your head out mate……it’s not about the cake, it’s the way a 200game veteran is honoured. It shows how our organisation works and it stinks.
I think even though he’s only been with us a short time we should have done better than a post it note on a cheap looking cake.
Its the first time i have ever heard of player getting a cake for a milestone match - so i'm guessing those putting the boot have seen the great cakes that players throughout the NRL have received on their 200th game. Please post pics as i would like to compare the cakes.

Going to a 10 year members dinner and tour of the new Concord edifice tonight. Be interesting to see how many invitees actually turn up and the general demeanour of the joint with all that's been going on. I expect a stirring address from the usual suspects.
Don't say anything to Pascoe or Lee will make sure you lose your membership.

LOL...we all know a shitty cake when we see one
yea its not a great cake - but have you ever heard of players getting cakes on 200 games milestone - first i have ever heard of it. Its not like a kiddies birthday party. Do the players all stand around with party hats on and have those blowout whistles. I find it more embarrassing that players on hundreds of thousands of dollars would even want a cake.

maybe a small pot of tar and a few feathers
Don't know about you but the membership dinner was a pretty big disappointment, they double booked the night With the heritage dinner so no coaches were there, only a handful of quiet players, Pascoe did shake everyone's hands on arrival but having all the major members of the organisation absent didn't exactly make you feel special.

How hard is it to book these things on separate nights?

The membership team tried their best but it was just dull and full of awkward silences

There were a few Membership dinners, I was at last night's.

Mine had Sheens, Pascoe, about seven or eight players + staff like Pete Moussa etc. on the tour.
