I think so, but I'd have to check. Issue is that Balmain has no significant income and exists from support from the Holman Barnes group. Can Balmain still pay back the debt and get their seats back? On the Wests Tigers board.
It's like the soccer canteen when I was a kid and Mrs Frazackerlie made lamingtons to raise money.
Amateur hour if true.
maybe a small pot of tar and a few feathersI'll see you there.
You bringing a pitchfork?
Was just thinking if someone bought Balmain, paid off their debts.I think so, but I'd have to check. Issue is that Balmain has no significant income and exists from support from the Holman Barnes group.
If Balmain has no cashflow wouldn’t that be risky? I mean, why would anyone do that? Was just thinking if someone bought Balmain, paid off their debts.
True, just thinking as a way to get onto Wests tigers. You'd need money. If Balmain has no cashflow wouldn’t that be risky? I mean, why would anyone do that?
No criticism of Mrs F intended. To be fair to Mrs Frazackerlie, her lamingtons were pretty darn good, all things considered
Have a good night...be careful with the cakes there might be bits of paper on themGoing to a 10 year members dinner and tour of the new Concord edifice tonight. Be interesting to see how many invitees actually turn up and the general demeanour of the joint with all that's been going on. I expect a stirring address from the usual suspects.

Its the first time i have ever heard of player getting a cake for a milestone match - so i'm guessing those putting the boot have seen the great cakes that players throughout the NRL have received on their 200th game. Please post pics as i would like to compare the cakes.Pull your head out mate……it’s not about the cake, it’s the way a 200game veteran is honoured. It shows how our organisation works and it stinks.
I think even though he’s only been with us a short time we should have done better than a post it note on a cheap looking cake.
LOL...we all know a shitty cake when we see oneIts the first time i have ever heard of player getting a cake for a milestone match - so i'm guessing those putting the boot have seen the great cakes that players throughout the NRL have received on their 200th game. Don't say anything to Pascoe or Lee will make sure you lose your membership.Going to a 10 year members dinner and tour of the new Concord edifice tonight. yea its not a great cake - but have you ever heard of players getting cakes on 200 games milestone - first i have ever heard of it. Its not like a kiddies birthday party. Do the players all stand around with party hats on and have those blowout whistles. I find it more embarrassing that players on hundreds of thousands of dollars would even want a cake.LOL...we all know a shitty cake when we see one
People will find irrelevant things to point out until we start winning.yea its not a great cake - but have you ever heard of players getting cakes on 200 games milestone - first i have ever heard of it.
Not irrelevant KR, just outside the norm. 😀People will find irrelevant things to point out until we start winning.
Just the way it works.
No way mate. I can’t imagine how big a douche bag someone would have to be to see that as a value proposition.Could offer them a weekly segment on SEN to promote themselves?
Don't know about you but the membership dinner was a pretty big disappointment, they double booked the night With the heritage dinner so no coaches were there, only a handful of quiet players, Pascoe did shake everyone's hands on arrival but having all the major members of the organisation absent didn't exactly make you feel special.maybe a small pot of tar and a few feathers
And even then that was brief.Your prize for 10 years of misery is meeting the orchestrator of the misery?
There were a few Membership dinners, I was at last night's.Don't know about you but the membership dinner was a pretty big disappointment, they double booked the night With the heritage dinner so no coaches were there, only a handful of quiet players, Pascoe did shake everyone's hands on arrival but having all the major members of the organisation absent didn't exactly make you feel special.
How hard is it to book these things on separate nights?
The membership team tried their best but it was just dull and full of awkward silences
