Its the first time i have ever heard of player getting a cake for a milestone match - so i'm guessing those putting the boot have seen the great cakes that players throughout the NRL have received on their 200th game. Please post pics as i would like to compare the cakes.
When it comes to milestone cake, if you can’t do it properly, it is probably better to not do it at all…

Don't know about you but the membership dinner was a pretty big disappointment, they double booked the night With the heritage dinner so no coaches were there, only a handful of quiet players, Pascoe did shake everyone's hands on arrival but having all the major members of the organisation absent didn't exactly make you feel special.

How hard is it to book these things on separate nights?

The membership team tried their best but it was just dull and full of awkward silences
Sounds like they made up an event to keep Pascoe away from the real club event.

And what happened to the "delicious barbecue dinner" attendees were promised. Can't recall anyone saying why it was ditched. The staff and players who did front did their best but the whole thing did seem to be a bit slapdash when it could have been so much better with only a little more effort!

yea its not a great cake - but have you ever heard of players getting cakes on 200 games milestone - first i have ever heard of it. Its not like a kiddies birthday party. Do the players all stand around with party hats on and have those blowout whistles. I find it more embarrassing that players on hundreds of thousands of dollars would even want a cake.
. . . . . . and then you give them all a stout stick or baseball bat and they use Pasco and Lee as piñatas.

the delcious bbq dinner wasn't ditched it was just a sausage on a bread roll, with an antipasto spread on the side :/

There were a few Membership dinners, I was at last night's.

Mine had Sheens, Pascoe, about seven or eight players + staff like Pete Moussa etc. on the tour.
But once they knew they were double booked they should have moved last nights dinner rather than half ass it. no one we wanted to talk to was there, the players that were there were silent and couldn't wait to leave.

They've had a few years to plan it...

I attended the 10 year member event this week & it was genuinely a well put together event until Pascoe got up & presented a spreadsheet talking about how the club is turning a profit & off the field we have never been better. I immediately got up & left the event & a few others followed. I've decided I won't be a member until he is gone.
Did this actually happen?

Pascoe must resign!

You should know by now that we usually stuff up the small things. Think it’s called”attention to detail” and we’ve seen a bit of it lately.
Unless it was done deliberately to keep the possibly angry members and coaches apart, we’ll just have to hope that eventually they get it right.
