I never understood how Our Chairman could also sponsor a rival club at the same time.😕

The sponsorship it itself didn't worry me too much, what bothered me is he would go to the announcements of that sponsorship for other clubs. Surely he could have sent someone else.

But negotiations with Luai were well advanced based on his connection with Api and the fast tracked promotion of Benji as coach by the previous administration. They could've been lost if Richardson didn't get on the front foot.

The prior board likely felt that players like Api and Stef would likely recommit if Benji was appointed and that was the feedback they had from recruits through player managers.

Changes were in motion partially before the petition and HBG obviously got on the front foot as the review was taking place to pre-empt everything.

Obviously their were zero leaks so any leaks were probably coming from parties no longer there.
