It's what I'd try and do not what I think will happen

Interesting to dive into our losses/gains. It's a bit hard to compare like-for-like as junior development/promotions play a big part, but I tried to do somewhat of a subjective comparison.

As a side note, we've got blokes like Talau ready, Grant on the swap deal and Stefano to join in 2021.

I think you’ll find Packer and Reynolds are still under contract until the end of 2021 season.

At his age(Robbie) I would consider Farah/Simpkins A win

I tried to look at it as what Robbie delivered for us last year vs Simpkins will this year.

In terms of long-term, yes no doubt.

I know Matto is a total dog, but he is a big loss for us, Lucky is all potential still compared to a guy edging origin.

Well certainly glad you are not in charge of recruitment.

Taylor, McQueen, Marshall and Lawrence and Momirovski are off contract at the end of this year anyway. Reynolds and Packer at the end of 2021.

According to Pascoe - Momirovski is going to be extended - just a matter of terms.
Would think the other four will not be renewed. and the two in 2021 we are stuck with whether you want them or not.

Xerri, Fifita, Grant, Papa are all spoken for pretty well, or signed for a few more years. Some prop? Whoever that is.

And so, you want to extend the two worst players from 2019 - no thanks.

Matterson is a great player and a huge loss but he was better in the middle than on the edge. LL may be a better edge forward. He is a big unit with pace and power. Matterson doesn't have that same impact.

We'd be a better team with Matterson and LL in the top team but I think our squad looks much better this season compared to last season.

Thats accurate eh.
We're building so well imo.

Top 8 team atm.
Hopefully a GF winning team within the next few years.

Yeah. Matterson was huge for us in consistent effort and workrate, but I suspect we will benefit from players like the Leiluas who can create something from nothing.

For the most part Farah was poor last year. Our ruck speed was abysmal. A combo of Grant/Simpkins/Lidde/Walters is a win in this department.

I see Matterson as a big loss. He was in our top 2 players last year. LL will not have close to his influence.

Joey compared to Marsters is a big win. Marsters is a rubbish centre. He had two decent games in two seasons.

I believe Madden, Cini, Simpkin & Bradley all step to NRL contracts next year, so that is 4 spots taken.

Off Contract: McQueen, ET, Clark, Eisenhuth, Jennings, Lawrence, Marshall, McIntyre, McQueen, Seyfarth, Smith, Momorovski.

I would keep Momorovski and Seyfarth. Clark probably based on this years performance. Most of the others I would be consider moving on unless they are prepared to stay for cut price deals.

BJ over Esan is a HUGE WIN...

BJ = on form, top 2 center in the game.
Esan = debatable if he is even a center. Not even close to top 10 centers in the game.

I'm pretty optomistic in the squad atm. All positions have useable depth.
I still see a question mark over the 9 as all options are unproven at nrl.
Depth of 2nd rowers I'm not sold on either
