I do think the hooker situation for this season is not good and I just don't know the answer. Surely we can't go at least half season with make do's? I had hope when there was th e rumour Maguire had recruited Parnell from ESL.

All I can say if it's as bad as some make out, are they saying we should fold up and close the doors? I don't think so, but there seems to be a few thinking we are terminal.

Yes we need to improve things and I think we are.

1/ not just Maguire is in control of recruitment we have Hartigan and McDonnell in identifying potential.

2/ our terrible player training and rehab facilities are finally being replaced.

3/ our coaching, support and rehab staff have had the broom put through them.

4/ we do have a good story to tell potential recruits who are able to see effort equals reward as against the want it now players.

5/ our back room is in order and working well to a plan.

However, we still have issues such as the multiple playing fields, an ability to steer wrong with bad board room actions e.g. knifing Go and appointing O'Farrell, perception amongst other clubs and player managers i.e. being sh#t upon.

But, we are getting there. I don't want us to fold nor relocate to Perth.

The NRL grant and backing from WA will mean we'll never fold.

While I'm often a critic of club management, I think we've taken the right approach with recruitment so far.

By all accounts, the club and board haven't been trigger happy and didn't fall into the trap of spending up big on Ivan Cleary style Dad's Army signings, blokes that wouldn't pass their next rego check and ~~Latrell Mitchell~~ complete gooses.

And to be fair, most clubs also seem to have focused on development rather than signings. Getting into a bidding war is a risky way of managing the salary cap.

Madge is a winner and wants immediate success. I reckon he's probably assembling the team he needs to do that.

Your right,one injury really throws that pack off

I was hoping Packer would be when we got him....did not happen.

I think the first game we played Roosters in ‘18 Packer put a few good shots on JWH.

Yes! Thats Why I’d also like to see Mbye start as dummy. Brooks creates some opportunI ties when he runs wide of the ruck. But we have lacked the pace out wide to capitalise.
