Xbox Foxtel and NRL Channel

Does anybody know if this is even worth a thread? I have been putting off getting Foxtel (mainly as it gives me an excuse to go to the pub and watch) but noticed maybe this year (citation needed) that there was a channel for NRL. However when looking at the schedule, hardly any (if at all) games were actually streamed/shown live.

Sorry if this has already been discussed; if someone can point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Suppose it's better then opening up another thread saying "How is playing"…....

I wouldn't have Fox on for many years after what they did to the League. I sent many a Fox salesmen running for cover for daring to knock on my door at 8.00pm at night. **THEN** I retired to the country, small town maybe 3 thousand people and an RSL club, 1 pub, an all night garage, and right on the water. After a year of normal TV, I figured we'd go crazy or broke going to the club for the non free to air games.

We watch every game, every week, as well as the Toyota cup matches, and we also get the movie channel and enetrtainment and the Sports Channel for $97 PM. Now that's just one night at the club if we have dinner and drinks.
Where 2 games are on at the same time, you have viewers choice so you can pick which game you want to watch, and then watch the other one later. It took a long time to forgive Fox, but in reality, I was only cutting my nose off to spite my face.

It is what it is, while I am a one eyed Tiger, from Balmain, and been a supporter for well over 50 years, I am ( more importantly ) a Rugby League supporter, and I just love the game, so Fox is important to me as between them and Nine, I never miss a game.
It's not for everyone, but it's also great watching some of the old matches on " Chooseday Night's ", and the weekend games are replayed during the week, as well as the Channel 9 games an hour later. So if you have other more important things to do at the time of the live telecast, you still can watch them.

BTW, Channel 9 has only one live game a week, that the friday night game. The sunday game at 4.00pm is an hour late in broadcasting. Unless you hear a radio call, it doesn't matter as when watching, it's live to you.

Sorry I'm a bit confused about the Xbox part… There is an AFL channel now on Foxtel, there has never been any announcement of an NRL channel although it has vaguely been mentioned a few times.

Basically on Foxtel the line-up is this:

Friday night - Both games on delay after 9 finished after midnight

Saturday night - At least 2 games live. When there are 3 games the two 7:30 games are normally "viewer's choice" meaning you can choose which one to watch (or flick between the two). The other game is then on delay after that. These days it seems more common to have 2 games.

Sunday - 1 or 2 live games. If the Warriors play a home game you'll see it on Sunday live. 2pm game is also live. The 3pm game (the Ch 9 game) is on delay at 6pm

Monday - Live game

All games are replayed during the week.

NYC - Depending on the NRL schedule there is usually a Saturday game and a Sunday game live.
NSW Cup - Highlights of one game during the week.

In addition to the 2012 replays they usually show an old game between teams playing in the upcoming round. Plus you get a Chooseday Night game on Tuesday.

I believe you can watch foxtel streamed via the net through Xbox for something like $25 a month
