YES..There is a God...Canberra interested in Fitzy

Fitzy is a Tigers legend.

He's has been just as good a servant to this club as Buckets or Skando ever were. Neither of those guys played like World beaters week in week out either. But along with Fitzy they just kept slugging away through the good times and the bad. They spent probably about 80 percent of their Careers at the Magpies and Tigers playing in losing teams. Playing in front of dud crowds at Leichardt and Campbelltown.

Those guys… along with Ben Galea, and of course Fitzy... were the solid foundation on which we built our Premiership Success. They were good, honest and hard working Clubmen. Those kind of Players don't exist anymore. Fitzy has been slugging away for the Tigers since before this forum even existed. In 2005 he did nothing short of a fantastic Job back in the days when we didn't even have enough money to AFFORD a decent winger.

Do you think Lote would've come the club back in 2004? Do you think we have the luxury of buying a Premiership every 10 years like Manly do? Fitzy played his part in getting the club to where it is today. And he is still around, helping out in any way he can. He's kept himself fit and is never injured. He put in a cracking effort against the Warriors. At 30 years of age what more can be expected from a fairly average player?

Anyways the guy went to Hull in 2008 & 2009... Nothing changed at the Tigers. We were still soft. We still didn't make the finals. We still lost too many games in a row. People still missed tackles and dropped the ball. We still lost games we could've won...

Good post. I'm not a massive fan of Fitzhenry but he's been a solid player for many years, and deserves at least some respect.

Yes, I am guilty of knocking his inclusion in the team, but after reading this post and seeing his game against the Warriors, his type of player have a part to play in a successful club. As has been pointed out, Wests Tigers have had several of these good club players, who have been the back-bone of the Club.

Fity played well against the Warriors, good luck to him. Had someone like Meany been given a chance the score may have inflated even more.

I would not be mortified if he left. He no doubt has something more to offer the game. I just believe that at full strength next year there is no place for him at Wests Tigers.

It is like Elford. I am happy he is playing well when in the Panthers squad but would not want him back at Concord

Couldn't agree more Smeg. When he left the Tigers he was a solid first grade player and even though he's going ok at the moment I just can't see a place for him in the first grade team next year. I'd totally support him playing for Wests NSW State Cup because I believe he has a lot to offer players there who are on the cusp of moving into the first grade squade. His experience and advice would be invaluable to them

Has been my argument all year, Fitzy will go down as one of the great wests tigers clubmen. He gives a 100% every week, I just think 2010 he is to old, to slow and not big enough for both fullback and wing. Okay he has played very well the last two weeks but so might have Meaney,Brown,Prichard,Davis or who ever if given a chance. I know where Sheens is coming from, he knows every week what he is going to get from Fitzy, it not the up and down stuff you get from the young kids. I just see either speed or size or both so important for a no1 2 or 5\. He could play a important role for either Bret or the Magpies but 1st grade, time to pull the curtain if not now certainly at the end of the year. Just one last thing for those who boo when he runs on the field–give yourself a upper cut--he got plenty of ticker

so you'd be happy if fitzy did his knee and will never play 1st grade ever again?

Fitzy has given 100% in every game he has played this year which is more than what I can say about Marshall, Farah, Galloway, Lawrence, Cayless and Co.

Great post. In fact, probably post of the year for mine.
