I think we really missed Woods out there tonight. The forwards didn't have anyone to calm them down and didn't have that guy to punch out the big minutes. The rest of our pack was really exposed tonight. None of them are leaders. Josh Aloiai was really good tonight and last week but, without leaders in the pack all of his effort is in vain. With Woodsy in the team I just feel confident. With Matulino and Packer around Aloiai and Sue next year though I think the future is looking pretty good, so it's not all doom and gloom.
 
about missing Woods, he would not have made a difference. The rest of your post, pretty spot on.
 
I agree with you - cos Ava overstepped tonight and cost us big time. In his entire career when has Ava ever gone the biff? NEVER! He tried to be tough tonight and copped a major penalty. Woods would have been his usual consistent metre eating hit up self and we missed that - but you are right…he wasn't there and instead of having JJ Felise on the bench we had a spare hooker who came on with 20 to go and 20 behind (+ or - 6)
 
I'd be happy to see us bashed from pillar to post for the rest of the year if it meant that buffoon didn't wear our jersey again.

We did miss him, he is still a decent first grader and unfortunately we've spent a lot of money on him so when he is out it's not like we have someone of a similar standard to come up. Next year we won't miss him though.
 
Yep. You're right we missed him tonight but he wouldn't have made a difference. We are a side that once we have a few injuries we just don't have the players to step up
