Your better half!

Im hoping my girl will find a real interest in the game and particulalry the tigers, though not confident.
She'll come with me but I can see her just putting up with it. Her favourite colur is purple 😕
After years of dragging my Souths fan son to WTs games, hes reached the age where he now has a voice of his own and doesnt come with me….my only other passionate RL fan family member is another souths fan bro in law - quite unbearable really.

:frowning: i feel for you Ink. I can't stand Souths :imp:

My girlfriend says she likes footy but I have my doubts.
She was a "storm fan" when we met.
She is a WT convert now by default.
A lot of her family (brother in law, aunts, uncles, etc) all support WT also so it's a family tradition although her dad is a dragons man.

She sits down to watch a game with me then gets up 5 mins in and goes and tidies the house, checks emails, plays with our pets, etc…. comes back at the end to get a score update, lol.

She's accompanied me to a few games, (She loved Aus VS NZ test match when it was in Newy because we sat right by the Aus bench and Robbie Farah smiled at her, lol)

I work a lot of nights but noticed there is a few NSW cup games on Sunday @Newy & Wyong (Maybe an hour drive) so I have plans to hit a few of them up with her this year, hopefully she is keen.

She's great, keeps me grounded and reminds me I'm not the king of the world on a regular basis. Gets on my nerves as I probably do to her but she's a gem. Would be lost without her.

Well after 36 years of marriage my wife is used to the footy.
After following Wests/Wests Tigers since I was 10, when the footy season starts she knows the TV's booked….lol.

As it should be. Our telly is always on the footy matches too

I met my girlfriend the week before the warriors semi-final in 2011\. I blame her for our horrible form and misfortune since that night.

I've taken her to a few games over the years and we've lost every single one of them. Again i blame her.

Is that enough for a break up ?

Lol.. I would stick with her Tony. Good women are hard to come by

My Wife is South American. She hates footy season but did make an effort at 1st to get into it. Sadly she hates Leichardt Oval as every time she went it rained. I'm blaming Mother Nature for her hate of Footy.

BUT!!! She loves the Footy Show. Go figure.

Nope the missus is not a fan, but she loves the Haka and always checks it out when the Kiwis are playing in a test.

I'm a whole atm but my ex certainly hated or wasn't fond of RL. Just shut off her ears and at times started punching me whenever I talked about footy  that's when i learnt girls don't usually like talking about sports

One thing we did agree on though was we both hated Bulldogs and their supporters

Hahaha you know what Happy, might tell her we need a break for a month or two. We can reassess our relationship after seeing how the Tigers results turn out ?

Anything for another premiership i guess..

You can resume dating after either we get knocked out of the semis race or that special 1st Monday in October

You realize we sacked Sheens and Potter ,Benji etc all because of your girlfriend ??

Poor form Tony , poor form

Actually why hasn't the blasphemer been kicked off the Forum yet ??

I met my American girlfriend when I did study abroad in North Carolina in the latter half of 2012\. In 2013, I managed to see her 3 times, once when she came over to Sydney briefly on holiday, and twice when I went back to the US for work. The first half of 2014 she did study abroad at UWS, and then in October I saw her when I went over for work again. Last month we had a holiday in Hawaii (almost the perfect half way meeting point), and once she finishes her degree in May, she's going to come over to Australia to live. So we've managed to do the long distance thing for a few years now, and it's almost over! She begrudgingly watches league games with me, and she knows I post on the forum.

It's great your lady likes the Haka, Tigerdave. Propably one of the coolest rituals in todays world of sport. Very entertaining.

Mrs Masterton is a mad Newcs fan. She's knows her stuff and often yells at the telly.

We used to watch the games between our teams together, but that ended after they knocked us out of a possible semi spot in the last round in 2007.

The Tigers were playing the night I met my girlfriend so she is used to me being "distracted" by footy. She is a Tigers fan luckily enough (I even bought her a pink jersey) but as yet she hasn't been to a game with me so I do question her dedication!

As far as her reaction to me scanning this forum, well I can guarantee she'd find a million better things for me to do, especially now we have a bubba. Speaking of, I've been reading Tigers stuff to our baby girl since long before she even arrived (i.e. While she was still in mamma's belly) so I reckon I'll have better luck with her. Can't wait till she is old enough to bring to a game!

_Posted using RoarFEED 4.2.0_

Reading to the baby while still in the belly is acceptable. Doing it beforehand is a no-no, so I'm told…
