Your favourite Wests Tigers non finals game?

Warriors vs Bulldogs @ the showground 2003\. The Dogs were favourites and the Warriors ran a muck with their offloading, from memory Meli scored 5 tries I think.

This is hard

I'll go with the Saints game last year at the SFS

Enjoyed the 50+ win over dogs in 05

Can't disagree with you there. The look on Jamie Soward's face when he tried to stay on with injury and let that try through the right side. LOVED IT!

Really enjoyed Dragons at SFS last year, had great seats, great atmosphere, great game.

Also that Cowboys game where Robbie got Watts in the scrum was a cracker.

I remember my old man took me to watch this kid called Benji Marshall in his second ever game (I think) against the Broncos in 2003….

2005 against the Sharks (both games) were what tipified the Tigers in that premiership run

Hahaha, nice one tig. I had to think twice for a minute because I was sure we'd never won in Melbourne!

Flip :unamused:

Sometimes I worry about you

Any time we beat Manly. Backs to the wall victories against Melbourne at Bluetounge (when rowdy scored a brace) and when we came from behind into a howling gale at Leichardt

Round 1 2005 Parra 28 Tigers 12…my 7 year old son was crying at the end of the game as Parra fans were being typical parra fans...I said to him something like don't worry son we will win some games this year...took him to our next game where we were thrashing the dogs only to see them come back but then Prince kicked that field goal to win 37-36 and there were no tears... the only tears after that came GF day and they were tears of joy from Dad and tears of relief from following the tigers since 74 and final healing for 89!

i'll be the first to say a loss - against parra in 2009, the night of benji's behind the back flick to ayshford

the eels were on a run into the eight and so were we, and it was well known that the loser of the game would probably miss out on the finals altogether, which we did

but the crowd that night at the SFS and the brilliant footy from both teams, including hayne's chip and regather to seal the game, are what stand out. Jarryd's form at the end of that year is only mirrored by Johns and Lockyer in the last decade. He was amazing. Hayne haters will disagree, but really, without that guy, that team was bottom four and instead they make a grand final with Robson and Mortimer in the halves.

then the drama - tuaki's last game sadly, as well as an injury to beau, in my mind, really cost us the game. we got the better of the hottest team in the comp and i've rarely seen us play better until some recent results.

It's a rare thing that a hyped up game surpasses expectations AND draws a crowd fitting of the spectacle but that night was special. no looks, well, maybe a couple, from the less pissed members of the crowd, but i'm sure they understood why we were so rowdy.

My favourite is a toughy to pick from the Tigers vs Dragons match last year at the SFS ( I enjoy beating them anyway ), Tigers vs Dogs 54-2 in 2005 or the Tough win against Melbourne at Leichhardt a few years ago. All great games for different reasons, Can't split them.

The night Rowdy strode away from Slater on a wet night @ Leichhardt. Best defensive effort in our history to keep em to 6, considering they were $1m over the cap.

yeh well said, i could not believe what i was seeing. it was like if benji can do that, then hayne can do better. it was an absolute masterclass of attack. hayne's chip n chase in that intensity and in those dying stages of the game was absolutely amazing. benji's double dummy to lawrence where robson absolutely gets bamboozled was another highlight, then the flick pass, the commentators going crazy, joey being speechless. fantastic stuff.

however, i will never forget that game coz of tuiaki's injury. even though it was hardly ben smith's fault, i want to blame him just for the sake of blaming someone. if that injury didn't occur, that would be one of the best games i've ever seen. good luck tuiaki and for some reason, i still hope you can come back and play one game.
