Your Ideal 2017: Farah, Taylor, Both or Neither?

If Robbie digs his heels in and doesn't go till the end of his contract in 2017 then IMO our coach should get at least a one year extension of his contract so that he has a fair opportunity to show where the team and club can be minus all the Farah drama.
It doesn't seem right that Taylors career has been so dependent on previous administrations stuff ups. No doubt this will bring howls of protest from the Taylor haters!

Posters count here does not really matter. What matters is that Robbie has delivered on his contact since Day One and continues to do so (even scoring tries for an old man) and it is highly debatable whether Taylor has performed the same as coach. We seem to be getting Mark 1, Mark 2 and Mark 3 coaching decisions. What stage us he at - L plates, green Ps, red Ps or 10 year gold license?

Wow. Considering the comments on here, I would have thought the poll would be strongly anti-Taylor. I guess there's a less vocal majority.

I thought it would have been pretty even. But 86% wanting Farah gone is pretty telling.

Might be 86 % on a nerdy forum but if you went and put the same pole to the people at games i think it might swing a fair bit the other way.

Nah. Disagree

Where do you sit at games as a matter of interest?

Taylor has achieved zero as a coach and yet you want to give him an extension if Robbie dosent go.There is a sucker born every minute perhaps i could interest you in a wonderful bridge/tunnel combination i own going from one side of Sydney harbour to the other.

What is a "nerdy" forum?

Internet forums are not for everyone.

Im saying if you go to games you get a different picture of what a lot of Tigers fans think of this saga

A better question would be if Taylor is punted OUT…Will that mean Farah is back IN...

Farah gets the loudest cheer when he scores or his name is read out. Taylor is often booed when his head pops up on the screen.

Im not saying he is universally popular however this poll if conducted at games would get a different swing.

You keep living in internet land.

Ha! What _isn't_ a nerdy forum?

Back to the topic and Masterton, I'm with you; considering the constant anti-Taylor rhetoric I am very surprised by the votes so far. Not just because the Taylor vote is about 50/50 but because the Farah vote is so unfavourable.
While none of us mean any disrespect to a club legend, there is no disputing that a vast majority of us fans prefer to see a future Tigers without Farah. I suspect that prior to this poll this is something many of us couldn't bear admitting (me included).

Based on this (and the vote) Taylor should not only be vindicated in his decision to drop Farah but should be largely supported (and by the way I'm not a Taylor fan…).

Whoa.

Fair enough. I read it that this was a 'nerdy' forum compared to other forums. I wouldn't know, as this is the only forum that i visit and I thought it had a fair cross section of members. I can't attend games so rely on free to air games or on-line replays.

ideally.

Farah gone at the end of the season

Give a huge send off at LO with all the bells and whistles that someone of his legacy deserves.

Taylor given a chance to run the club minus the RF circus for a season. We will know come this time next year if he's working out, if not he's punted and 2018 we start with a new coach…again.

Eddie, see my post above.
The fact is, the vocal lot aren't always a majority. Besides that, Farah is a club legend and despite the turmoil we will always cheer him (like we would cheer Benji). The fact that we think he shouldn't be here beyond this season as per the poll is a separate issue and should not preclude fans from cheering on a hero.
Taylor gets booed because he is polarizing and let's face it, not particularly likeable.

I am not disagreeing with you.

My point was the 80% that seemingly want him out on here would be plenty less if you were to do a poll at the game in my opinion.

There are a lot of old school fans who don't bother with forums like this.

No worries. Not a bad read.

The poll is making it look more and more like the Farah supporters are a vocal minority of the regular posters on here. 100 posters being about the number that would constitute the number of regular posters on this forum.

Someone said this earlier and I didn't get it. I reckon that for some bizarre reason JT supporters are out in droves on here.

I seriously don't understand why he is getting so much support.
