Your Ideal 2017: Farah, Taylor, Both or Neither?

Wow. Considering the comments on here, I would have thought the poll would be strongly anti-Taylor. I guess there's a less vocal majority.

I thought it would have been pretty even. But 86% wanting Farah gone is pretty telling.

Might be 86 % on a nerdy forum but if you went and put the same pole to the people at games i think it might swing a fair bit the other way.

Depends on the last 6 weeks really in answer to the question.

I remain far from convinced about Taylor as a coach.

However the side has performed at a decent level for most of the season. On this he probably deserves a 3rd season however i think our squad is better then what most people think. Even taylor himself said we need to be doing a lot better for the talent we have in this side.

Its also interesting what measuring stick is Taylor using??

Last year he talked about the fact we have improved as a club because our defence is better as we were 11th defensively (even though we came 15th in the ladder)

This year our defence is 15th (yet we are coming 10th)

So are we better or worse under the measuring sticks and mantra Taylor came into the club for?

Except for our few champs WT overall played shockingly on Sunday. I expect when we come across a solid team we will be wiped off the field score wise but then it will be too late to reach the finals. Wtih Robbie we were threatening up the middle as well as the sides plus we are much better defence wise. With Brooks going missing occasionally that is our main issue.

My order of preference:
1\. Taylor in, farah out
2\. Taylor out, farah out
3\. Taylor out, farah in
4\. Taylor in, farah in

You're challenging for the 'no idea' cup.
Shockingly?
We defended 4 says straight on our line at one stage
Kept the opposition to two tries.
Came from 8 behind to win.
Of course there's room for improvement… Try to keep some perspective

Also I think we can all be clear that Farah in also means another Taylor Eijah is out.

If Robbie stays we won't be able to afford Elijah Taylor so he will go. Even if we do the stupidest thing in the world and pay Robbie out his full amount therefore ET goes.

So voting for Robbie to stay is voting for ET to go

i wonder if Robbie's contract wasn't so heavily back ended if we would be having this conversation at all?

Me thinks maybe not.

You think. I think that there are a bunch of Taylor supporters on here. It's interesting.

You just made this up and it's not true. Another story to go along with all the Robbie stories.

Yeah, but the anti-Taylor vibe has been pretty strong since Farah's demotion. I guess people post more when they're cranky, making it harder to tell what the majority thinks. (Either that, or I'm just a bad judge.)

It's just the same people making the same posts over and over and over…

I think it is pretty obvious to everyone that we can not sign Taylor without offloading large chunk of cap. So there will have to be a fall guy or two and rightly or wrongly Farah is probably the player they want to move on.

As for what they should do, well Farah has to go,been surrounded in drama for about five years and it must have a effect on the team. Farah may or may not be to blame, but we have to put it to bed.

Taylor well he should go to, like farah he may not be totally to blame, but we need to clear the air. I am really against changing coaches every year or two, but I think we now have no choice.

If it was one to go and one to stay, I would stick with Taylor purely on the fact I just do not like coach changing all the time, because every time you change a coach,it is back to square one

1\. Farah In, Taylor Out : 12 = 15%

2\. Taylor In, Farah Out : 38 = 46%

3\. Farah In, Taylor In : 4 = 5%

4\. Farah Out, Taylor Out : 28 = 34%

So to summarize the Forums feeling on this thus far…...

People wanting Farah in : 16 = 20%

People wanting Farah out : 66 = 80%

People wanting Taylor in : 42 = 51%

People wanting Taylor out : 40 = 49%

So it's clear that fans on this Forum want Farah gone while it's nearly 50/50 with people wanting Taylor staying.
