Drinkwater has gone okay in the trials, but i can't believe how some are building him up. He hasn't been able to cement a spot anywhere for a reason. I can't see there being a repeat of Austin with this guy. A depth signing at best.

He was one of our best against the Eels and was a class above in State Cup. He'll prove a very handy replacement if Moses or Brooks go down.

Or if they dont produce, he's only got rookies ahead of him.

Time will tell i guess. I'll happy to admit i'm wrong, cos it will mean we've picked up another x factor for chicken feed.

Tedesco
Naqaima
Simona
Lawrence
Richards
Moses
Brooks
Woods
Farah
Galloway

I think it is clear what the 17 will be, only question is what spot they play. My best guess is this
1\. Teddy
2\. Kev
3\. Simona
4\. Lawrence
5\. Richards
6\. Moses
&. Brooks
8.. Galloway
9\. Farah
10\. Woods
11\. Sirro
12\. Sue
13\. Taupau

reserves
Halatau, Santi, Ava & Lodge.

Personally I start Santi at 13, and have Taupau on the bench.

That will be the the team Goose, Taylor has played his cards.

Taupau will start then Halatau to play the old style traditional lock role when he comes off.

Santi 20 to 30 minutes high energy.

There isnt any other choice, this will be round 1.

He has improved past the point of your opinion of him.

Full credit to him he knows this is last chance.

Switch the 14 for 13 and I could live with that

Taupau just seems better coming off the bench in my opinion

id go with that team Hap.
But I still have doubts about Sue and Akoula. If one of them doesn't produce , I'd like to see Buchanan in there too( only going on the trials and nines this year)
Sue worries me as he doesn't seem any better than when he started I hope I'm wrong though

JT will either sort him out - or ship him out GT :bulb:

1\. Tedesco
2\. Naiqama
3\. Simona
4\. Lawrence
5\. Richards
6\. Moses
7\. Brooks
8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Sironen
12\. Santi
13\. Taupau

14\. Seumanufagai
15\. Lodge
16\. Liolevave
17\. Sue

Great side, Tigertye. That foward pack was on for a lots of minutes in the 2nd half of the Sharks trail. Santi was very busy in defence and Taupau at lock hitting it up on the fringes. We dominated a strong Sharks pack. I know it was just a trail but we looked very big and busy.
Wood, Galloway, Sirro, Santi, Taupau are a huge unit and did everything we needed a forward pack to do. Thumbs up from me.

I reckon JT is going to look at a solid starting side with impact off the bench early on in the season

Defence early on will win football games , set a platform and give the bench and our spine something to work off

Drinkwater like Brooks was the boom young half but at Manly was no chance with DCE and Foran in front of him, so he went to the Dragons and never clicked, weather he was not given a go or just was not good enough I am not sure but he now seems to have matured into a very solid half with a great kicking game. In saying that he is no chance to get in front of Brooks and Moses, the club are paying the kids a small fortune and see 2015 as a year where they progress from kid super stars into NRL players, and they need to play in the top grade to do that.

Of course injuries are a different matter and Drinkwater will get some game time during the year, but the thing I like most, their is nothing better than pressure to keep a player focused and Drinkwater should be able to keep the heat on the two kids

When is Nofo back?? I am worried about Naiqama defence and under the high ball

You haven't seen much of him, have you?

All he has done during the Trials, and 9's is show quality defense and quality under the high ball.

To be honest I havn't but I don't go much on Trial form. maybe I am thinking to much about Wes Niqama and his dreadful defense and high ball. but I will trust your judgement and others on here that he will be fine!

Kevin has been great in a tigers jersey so far. So much so. That I am genuinely concerned about nofo might struggle pushing his way back in, unless through injuries.

I love Nofa, but not sure if he will be able to budge these 2 if they start the season well.

Well I don't get to see any preseason games so all I can do is read other forumer's posts or read twitter posts or post game reviews.

So far,
Moses has had a hand in everything
Or, I don't understand the Moses hype

I think it's been far too long for tigers fans to see a five eighth who passes when he is supposed to; kick when he is supposed to and run when he is supposed to. And not pass to row 13 in the grandstand or miss touch on a penalty. He is doing what he needs to do.

He has been exceptional in the lower grades and already won a man of the match in his 8th first grade game? I see the hype.

2 points….Nofa will walk straight back into the side....not walk,WALTZ in.

And re Moses. He looks pretty good to me,very classy.

When they were in the lowers i always rated Moses over Brooksy.

Together they make a mad combo!

feels like all this anti- moses stuff has come out of nowhere last couple of weeks. i swear i didnt hear a bad stuff being said about him before the nines.

drinkwater did impress but if he was to replace anyone, imo it'd be brooks. to me, moses showed more in half a dozen games than brooks all season. that being said, i hope brooks/moses stay injury free, keep form and tear other teams to shreds.
