Good side.

I'd keep Fifita starting though. He had a big game last night. We really noticed our game go downhill when he and Galloway went off I thought.

There won't be any Tigers players returning from injury next week.

I'd keep the same 17 that played against the Panthers. None of the backs were as poor as deserving to be dropped while the forward stocks are not great with Payten and Ellis still injured.

Willow Thought Ellis is listed as back this week ,not right ??

Farah said at the end of the game that Ellis is still in England. There's no way I'd risk him at this stage, or Lote for that matter. If they're 90% fit then they're not fit enough to take on a Dragons team which will smother the Tigers attack.

17\. Woods

18\. Fulton

The change I would make is Moltzen to Reggies and Miller to center and that position will be strenghtened 100% the kid has the talent to play that roll IMO and can kick goals if Benji can't and can cover 1/2 &/5/8 this is short term until Lawrie returns this also gives Lui the Opp to get his act together.

Assuming Lote won't play…

1\. McKinnon
2\. Ryan
3\. Ayshford
4\. Brown
5\. Utai
6\. Marshall
7\. Lui
8\. Fifita
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Dwyer
12\. Ellis
13\. Heighington

14\. Fulton
15\. BMM
16\. Gibbs
17\. Woods

Moltz needs a stint in NSW Cup to gain confidence in defence - he'll get ripped apart by the Dragons. Schirnack is not 1st grade material IMO.

Will need four forwards on bench to defend against the Dragons for 80mins.

Tigers to win by 1.

X2

I just hope that Lote and Ellis are fit and ready to play, otherwise we'll have to go with the same team again. With all our injuries, I can't see any other real options, except for maybe Brown to the centre in place of Moltzen and bring either Ryan or Latu in on the wing.

Haha great bench! Not sure even they could help WTs at the moment though

My team is based on Lote and Ellis still injured

McKinnon
Brown
Best State Cup Centre
Ashysford
Utai
Marshall
Lui
Galloway
Farah
Woods
Dwyer
Fulton
Heightington

Gibbs
Fifita
BMM
Moors

Moltzen to enjoy some time as half back for State Cup. Schirmach dropped to State Cup.

Time to give a young centre a go. Someone who knows the position and can run straight and hard and pass to their winger.

1.McKinnon
2.Tuqiri
3.Brown
4.Ayshford
5.Utai
6.Marshall
7.Lui
8.Fifita
9.Farah
10.Galloway
11.Ellis
12.Fulton
13.Heighnington

14.Moltzen
15.Gibbs
16.Dwyer
17.Woods

1.McKinnon
2.Tuqiri
3.Brown
4.Ayshford
5.Utai
6.Marshall
7.Lui
8.Gibbs
9.Farah

11.Ellis
12.Fulton
13.Heighnington

14.Fifita
15.Dwyer
16.Woods
17.Murdoch-Masila

If Galloway isn't over his concussion, I'd start BMM and bring A. Schirnack onto the bench.

Fifita must come off the bench. We work him hard too early and he lacks venom when he's expected to take the pill up. Gibbs in early to tighten the defence around the middle. If Ellis is fit to play 80 (which I doubt,) I'd pull Heighington off for a stint and slide Fulton into lock with Dwyer on for Fults.

If that team shows up ready to play they could really shake the Dragons up. Unfortunately, I believe we are more likely to see another performance like last week we'll be on for a touch up. They look underdone and they've got no excuse to be.

CB - Why do you feel Brown is suited to play in the Centres?

I dont see anything from Brown other than basic consistant football, and I feel he lacks the zip and lateral movement to play there…

Because aside throwing in another untried state cup or NYC centre (irrespective of talent,) to the wolves, Brown is what we need at centre for the minute: a solid showing. Lawrence has by and far got him covered in just about every facet of the game in the centres but, at risk of sounding like I'm factional or have it in for him, Moltzen is simply not a centre and he will be exposed and savaged by Gasnier next week and I believe we're a better chance of containing him with Brown there. It doesn't matter who we put at left centre, because I feel that none of them have Lawrence's lateral movement or ability to hit a hole that our left side is accustomed to. At this point in time he's also part of the top 17 playing group and he is playing more consistent football than Moltzen and is probably more likely to go forward and take the line on rather than jinking and stepping before he hits the line.

And as I said in another topic (I'd have quoted it if I could remember where I'd said it,) I am far from hating Moltzen, in fact I empathise with the poor bugger that the moment. He is underdone coming back from a substantial injury and Sheens is ruining his development and confidence by playing him in positions where his weaknesses are easily exposed. I do honestly believe Moltzen should be playing a full 80 minutes in State Cup either learning the ropes at FB or playing half. Sheens needs to address all this before Moltzen turns into Lazarus Mk II.

The 3 things that concern me against Saints are Soward , Gasnier and Cooper . If you rush Soward he will take the line on thats a big concern . But you need to put pressure on Gasnier and Cooper or they will run riot . Moltzen on either Cooper or Gasnier is a concern . Maybe this is the week for Dwyer Ellis or Fulton to play in the centres defensively or get Brown to play on either Cooper or Gasnier in defence . We did the same thing with Pat Richards in 2005 semi as many would remember . The forwards need to work overtime to watch for Boyd running off inside balls . Lots of issues to worry about with Saints Suppose thats why they are on top of the table
