at the open training session today, sheens said that payten will probably miss round 1 due to his injury… also gibbs also picked up an injury on the same knee again, so unsure about him aswell...

gibbs will play…and if payto misses the 1st round, the bench spot will go to woods...
... so its all good on the homefront :smiley:

What are the chances of Moltzen getting a full game in state cup or two, with Meaney on the bench in FG? I think I would like to see this for Moltzen's sake - a chance to gain confidence and game time.

I think this is spot on Spartan.

The only thing I could think of to fit Woods in the side is to have Toddy as the 2nd row filler, drop Dwyer and have Fifita and Woods in the prop rotation.

Dwyer is making too many mistakes at the moment and could easily cost us a game or 2\. Some time in State might help.

There is no way I think Moltz will get the 7 Jono. Lui absolutely killed it in the trial and the back end of last year…. all while under pressure from Moltz and having a court appearance on his mind.
 
Moltz @ Halfback is old news & guess what, it's not happening.
So dead those ideas. Lui has it locked in.

At this point in time I don't think Moltz should even be anywhere near the top 17,
Reggies to pick up some form and get back into the routine since such a long time off.

He can come back as 17th man, Utility bench like Barba 2010 or as mentioned by most… Craig Wing style impact player.
I personally like the comparison of Isaac Luke in the 4Nations bench role.

Not sure if he'll slot into fullback, with McKinnon and Brown around, but if they aren't performing their best then why not.

interesting year ahead, I think this will be a good close game and interesting the actual team that'll take the field.

Brown is a better alround player for mine…

although if Utai promised to belt ennis i would let him go :slight_smile:
 
on what I have seen of Utai over the past two weeks, he is coming a long last in the outside back stakes. Did not even finish in the frame!!!! May have something to offer over a long season, but for now way behind all the other contenders
 
totally agree about Utai Can't catch a cold and can't move laterally and get caught out in defence because of it

Brown is injured and no, Utai does not deserve a wing spot over him.
