Lazarus is not the option we want at fullback for mine if we move Moltzen to the halves. That combination needs time to gel. Put in a hard running fullback who puts his body on the line and can bark orders at a defensive line and run at the ruck off players hips.
That's why a lot of people are clueless to how it all works. They think they can just "chuck" Lazarus into fullback again and he will be able to produce the goods.
Moltzen has been ruined by Sheens. The poor kid is scrambled and has lost his confidence because of Sheens' stubborness. I have never ever seen Moltz so frustrated as a football player until yesterday. You all saw what happened when he moved back to his natural position….his game was INSTANTLY more comfortable and he looked back at home, and that is with the kid training as fullback.
That's why Lazarus is once again producing his best football again being back in the halves after Sheens attempted to manufacture him into a fullback where his deft hands and sharp footwork close to the line was being wasted. Although in saying this, the experiment has been beneficial, and being the smart football player that he is, he has utilised these skills to add to his arsenal.
1\. Moltzen is a better 5/8th than halfback.
2\. Marshall should never be moved out of his position as 5/8th
3\. Lazarus is a better halfback than fullback

That's why the solution to finding the best fit to fix the recurring problems within that squad needs careful thinking
7\. Lazarus
Best current option at the club for halfback.
6\. Marshall
Best current option at the club for 5/8th in front of Moltzen and Lui.
3\. Moltzen
Rubbish as to being the best option at fullback in the club but to fit Lazarus into the 7 jersey, Moltzen must regress back from his best position yet kept close to the attacking line, which would be centre and would still be able to use his natural football skills. But will need an experienced strong defender on his side of the field that he could interchange with.
1\. Tuqiri
has all the attributes to become a strong kick returner who needs to get his hands on the ball as much as possible. He may be slightly suspect under a high ball still as it is early days(but this can always be improved with training), but he has proven he is an "athlete" who thrives on pressure and confidence.
Lawrence, Ryan and Fitzhenry are interchangeable in the 3/4s and are experienced enough to do the job required of them. The player who is not interchangeable is Ayshford who can only slot from the centres,5/8th, or lock. But that will not happen anytime soon until he serves his time and completes developing as a 1st grade footballer. So he must remain at centre, but also needs an experienced player on his side of the field to assist his development for defence. The only seasoned players at the club to do this are Fitzhenry or Lawrence.
That is why a backline such as this has such potency in attack, and also interchangeable to suit defensively:
1\. Tuqiri
2\. Fitzhenry
3\. Moltzen
4\. Ayshford
5\. Lawrence
6\. Marshall
7\. Lazarus
