Your team for Round 3

1\. Lazarus/ Moltzen
2\. Tuqiri
2\. Lawrance
4\. Ashyford
5\. Ryan
6\. Marshall
7\. Lazarus/ Moltzen
8\. Galloway
9\. Farah
10.Gibbs
11\. Ellis (if not suspended)
12\. Fulton
13\. Heighington

14\. Cayless
15\. Moors
16\. Payten
17\. Fafita
18\. Flanagan (cover for ellis)

Assuming Lui is out and Ellis can recover in time…

Personally I'd go for:

1\. Tuqiri
2\. Prichard
3\. Lawrence
4\. Ayshford
5\. Ryan
6\. Marshall
7\. Moltzen
13\. Fulton
12\. Ellis
11\. Heighington
10\. Gibbs
9\. Farah
8\. KG

14\. A Fafita
15\. Payten
16\. Cayless
17\. Taumata or Lazarus

I don't buy this Tuqiri not ready for fullback stuff. He looks fit and ready for me and I think we really need a FB who is going to charge into the defence and maybe make some line breaks. Fafita deserves another game and maybe Shirnack too. Cayless possibly needs 80 minutes in State Cup. He just isn't hitting the line well enough at the moment IMO. Moors has been okay at times but we lose a lot of ground in the last 20 minutes of the first half when the forward rotations start. Personally rather see someone like Fafita come on and tear in. 17th man I think should go to a gamebreaker although if we played a four man forward bench I wouldn't object.

Having said that I foresee Sheens naming:

1\. Daniella
2\. Tuqiri
3\. Lawrence
4\. Ayshford
5\. Ryan
6\. Marshall
7\. Moltzen
13\. Rhino
12\. Ellis
11\. Fulton
10\. Gibbs
9\. Farah
8\. KG
---------
14\. Cayless
15\. Moors
16\. Flanagan
17\. Fitzhenry
And probably an 18th and maybe even 19th men...

1\. fithenry
2\. tuaki
3\. ayshford
4\. lawrence
5\. ryan
6\. marshall
7\. moltzen
8\. gibbs
9\. farah
10\. galloway
11\. payton*
12\. fulton
13\. heighington

14\. flannagan
15\. moors
16\. fafita.
17\. lazerus*

*if lui and ellis end up fit they will replace the asterix marks
\
\
i was very impressed by moors efforts in the front row
also impressed by the work flannagan put into the game, seems to be a real workhorse

noticed i forgot about cayless but im still not impressed by his efforts anyway..

For mine:

1\. Tuqiri (I don't buy into the "he's not ready" BS either. I think Sheens may even give him game time at the back this Friday)
2\. Brown (Daniela is slower than a government cheque)
3\. Lawrence
4\. Ayshford
5\. Ryan
6\. Marshall
7\. Moltzen (Should have been like this since Round 1)
13\. Fulton (Played well against woManly, very effective as a wide runner)
12\. Ellis (If suspended, give Moors another go, looks like he's finding his feet)
11\. Heighington (Give him a breather though Sheens FFS!)
10\. Gibbs
9\. Farah
8\. Galloway (Can't shift him at the same time as Gibbo though)

14\. A Fafita (Rather impressed with him, almost seamless transition in FG)
15\. Flanagan (Not blistering quick, but was effective in drawing those defenders to get the ball away to Tuqiri. Hard worker in defence as well)
16\. Cayless (Still out on him, he's come back after a lengthy stretch on the sidelines, give him a couple more weeks to pull his head in)
17\. Taumata (if fit, if not, Lazarus… Need an X-Factor out there and Fitzhenry certainly doesn't fit the bill. Sorry CC...)

yes, my mistake

 Yes because my decisions are based purely on which feeder club a player has run out for

1\. Meaney
2\. Tuqiri
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Ryan
6\. Marshall
7\. Lazarus
8\. Gibbs
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Fulton
12\. Ellis
13\. Heighington

14\. Fifita
15\. Moors
16\. Payten
17\. Moltzen

18\. Flanagan (replaces Payten or Ellis if they're injured)
19\. Cayless (replaces Gibbs if he's injured)

Flanagan was good yesterday, but someone has to make way for Fulton and Payten.

Moltzen needs to be at least dropped to the bench. We don't need someone who won't put in unless they're playing in the favourite position. Morris was moved all around last year but didn't once lack the effort, and Moltzen is 3 times the player Morris is. Moltzen needs to learn that.

Cayless needs to get fit in state cup, let him play 60-70 mins for a couple of weeks. He's missing too many tackles from fatigue, and has a poor work rate.

This is all assuming Lui is injured.

I like it PACEY..

that is great looking team

Interesting selections here!

Moltzen is confusing the structure of the team. He should be number 14 not Fitzhenry.

When all are fit and young stocks are blooded I'd be leaning towards.

1\. Mullaney
2\. Tuqiri
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Tuiaki
6\. Marshall
7\. Lazarus
8\. KG
8\. Farah
10\. Gibbs
11\. Ellis
12\. Payten
13\. Fulton

14\. Moltzen
15\. Fifita
16\. Moors
17\. Gower

But what do I know.

Some good teams there, but cannot believe some of you guys still want Motltzen at fullback the last few weeks alone should tell you why cannot take a ball under pressure wont run the ball dont want to get tackeled passes the buck no thanks let him fight out for the half back spot with Lazarus Tumarta Lui .As for Heightion lock is not his spot past his best i am sorry to say can still tackel but as far as breaking the line he is no show Fulton fo mine

Ok smeg you keep telling yourself that, everyone knows you watch every bret game and IMO usually you are promoting players from bret to be introduced into first grade on this forum.

I am all for promoting players who are ready, in my opinion, from the lower grades. Not just those playing for BRET.

But what do I know.

Mullaney was ordinary in the 20's yesterday. Decided to play in the last 10 minutes when the game was in the balance and otherwise looked like he didn't want to be out there. And he's a bigger defensive liability than Moltzen at fullback.
