Your Team For Trial #1

Id give Daniela a run at fullback just to satisfy my own curiosity. I have a feeling his kick returns could be quite dangerous, and im sure his speed being used all over the park would pose many dangers. Marshall hitting Daniela with an inside ball, then hitting him later with an out ball just seems to sit well with me for some reason.

Fullback is certainly an open position, with Moltzen, Mackinnon, Brown and Mullaney, but maybe the right fit could be with the short but powerful and speedy Daniela

Big call KS!!

He is yet to prove himself under high balls (at either wing or FB)!! I'd be happy with a run at no. 1 in a trial though!

It does however worry me - a bit like Michael Jennings on the wing!

Pretty confident we won't see Daniela at fullback. Sheens does not need to take the gamble with McKinnon now over his hamstring problems, plus the return of Moltzen and Mullaney bulking up a bit more, then we've got Brown who performed solidly at fullback over the last 6 weeks or so of last season, plus Ryan.

Can't see Daniela being anything other than cover for Lawrence and Ayshford, or a backup winger.

Im certain we wont see it, but its something id try for half a game and if it looks promising id continue with it. Thats just me though

Politoni for Parata (but it is a 50-50 & I'd like to see one of the Parata boys make the grade here)!!!

i am guessing this game will be played in quarters and both sides will be able to use a larger interchange

1\. McKinnon
2\. Tuqiri
3\. Lawrence
4\. Ayshford
5\. Tuiaki
6\. Marshall
7\. Moltzen
8\. Galloway
9\. Farah
10\. Gibbs
11\. Ellis
12\. Fulton
13\. Heighington

17\. Fifita
18\. Lui
19\. Flanagan
20\. Mullaney
21\. Daniela
22\. Brown
23\. Ryan
24\. Latu

If Tuiaki can't play then Brown on the right wing. If Ayshford can't play then Daniela at right centre. Lui and Moltzen play half a game each at halfback. Gibbs, Galloway, Fifita, Payten all play around 40 mins each in front row. Ellis, Fulton, Heighington, Dwyer, Murdoch, Flanagan all play around 40 mins each in second row/lock. McKinnon and Mullaney half a game each at fullback. Beau, Brown, Daniela, Latu to get some time on the wings or in the centres.

:unamused: Are you going to tell us why…or do we have to guess?

you have to work it out. its more fun that way

we also have moors, woods, schirnack, pearn and cayless who they might want to give a run with the main team. we sure have some depth this season!

Gibbs was about the only solid first grader who played in this corresponding trial last year. I doubt the Tigers will trot out their big names in this trial, it will be the fringe players who get a run once again.

Heard on Friday that Sheens will be bringing up to Qld all the young guns like what Matty's team is, but also heard the Sheens reckons TnT recovery is not going that good at all, and looks a very very faint chance of ever getting back on the field :frowning:

Yeh as in the past Id say the sydney games will be kept for the senior players, the younger ones getting their chance on the road….less than 3 weeks 'til trial 1

You'd put money on the Cambo game being a 7- 7.30 kickoff surely....they wouldnt wanna play it any earlier in the heat

You're probably on the money Ink, February is going to be pretty hot so logic would dictate a kick off around that time and played in quarters. I still remember round 2 against the chooks last March and that was an absolute stinker at the SFS.
