Today's The Weekly Times local newspaper reports that Sheens has given BRET coach Paul Fletcher the role of preparing the team for the first trial against the Cowboys!

That team is reportedly expected to include (in no particular order - except that I have arranged them into their likely positions):

Sean Meaney
Sam Latu
Geoff Daniela
Matt Ryan
Jake Clarke
Jake Mullaney
Jacob Miller
Jarred Farlow
Mark Flanagan
Jason Schirnack
Junior Moors
Matt Hyland
Al Schirnack

As this is a Balmain-centric local paper - Wests blokes like Akeripa, Davis, Pearn, Cayless etc have not been mentioned but I'd assume they'd also get a run!

Glad to see Matt Ryan & Jarred Farlow getting some recognition & that Al Schirnack remains with BRET!

x2,

my bench in addition would be Aaron Woods, David Fafita, Ben Murdoch-Masila, and dare I say it, Matt Utai.

Fair looking side with some decent additions to the bench highly likely. Interesting to see Mullaney shift back to where he played his junior football, although hasn't Meaney been spotted training at 6 alongside Benji?

I put them in that order on spec alone - but I have to say both Mullaney & Meaney are interchangeable at 1 & 6!

Same goes for Farlow and Hyland at 9 & 13 from all reports! (Jarred played alot of 9 for BRET in Carr's absence last year - while Hyland is learning the trade at training!)

It just underpins our genuine depth as a club!
