Your Team V Sharkies

Sheens will pick basically the same side as last year except Reddy will be no 14, as in Sheens eyes that will give us a back on the bench that can play in the forwards . Gee I see Reddy as our new Danny Gelea, not quick enough for the backs although will gives us some depth and not good enough for the forwards. Hope Iam wrong and he turns out the signing of the year.

My team, need one speedster on the wing and Utai will get caught out by good players, big heart and makes good dirty yards but just too risky to have in your 17

9 Robbie Farah ©
10 Keith Galloway
11 Chris Heighington

13 Liam Fulton (80 minute player)

14 Aaron Woods
15 Junior Moors (Watched him, he is ready)
16 Ben Murdoch-Masilla (needs to be given a chance)
17 Joel Reddy

18 Matt Bell (Played ok in the trials. Honest player but others are a fair bit better. he is no where near as good as Junior Moors or BMM)
19 Matt Groat (Not quite up to it just yet)

Swap Brown for Utai and I'm loving it!

I'm going to throw in a smokey. I think Tedesco will be named but won't start, or won't be named at all. I think a debut against the sharks in round one will be surprising. I'd look for Humble or Reddy to play fullback.

I just think there will be a Sheens style twist for round one.

Swordy, I can't see Sheensy being that stupid
Surely if he was going to start Reddy or Humble he would have given them some game time at the back to settle them in.
For me it's Tedesco for No.1

I'll throw in my own smokey and pick Koroibete on the wing. I know it won't happen but I'd like to see it.

I hope he does play! I just think Round one, against the sharks where there will be a little bit of feeling and some history…...

You'd want to be taking the focus off him for the next week or so and maybe Tiger Watto might be right, he gets named in NYC but turns up and plays on the day.

Your probably right Swordy,
Sheensy wouldn't like all the attention that Tedesco is going to get over the next two weeks, so yeh maybe naming him in the NYC then start him on th day is the way to go.

I know this team won't be named… But it's nice to dream...

Ellis should be named captain.

I actually agree. The way he goes and goes is just inspirational. There is a reason he is players player all the time.

But sheensy mentioned in an article that Robbie, Benji and Gareth are the leadership group. So im guessing he is involved somehow.

Lets name 3 captains. Still less than souths!!

The thread title is YOUR team, so nothing wrong with that CB. - You can't be far from sheens team with that one though - i'd harbour a guess at Reddy in lieu of BMM and maybe Utai in lieu of Brown would be how sheens would go, but you never ever know….

Reddy wasn't as bad on saturday night as some forumers made him out to be, considering he played predominantly in the backrow, and got awkwardly shuffled to the win later in the 2nd half.

I was reading the season guide that i have the other day and was pretty surprised when reading the stats that Brown has played 40 games. It seems like a lot less. I'd like to know how many consist of him coming off the bench in the last 5 mins

1\. Reddy (Not sold on Tedesco yet and Reddy is one of the best defensive backs in the NRL)
2\. Ryan
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Brown (Very rarely lets anybody down, much safer in defence than Utai)
6\. Marshall
7\. Moltzen
8\. Blair
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Ellis
12\. Heighington
13\. Fulton
–-
14\. Woods
15\. Bell
16\. Groat
17\. Utai (Still want him in the 17, can cover for injuries in the backline and can give Farah a rest out of dummy half)

What's the go with BMM?
Can't say he's ever done much but a lot on here are picking him.
What's the attraction ( apart from the fact he's a big unit)?

I think the side picks itself bar that left wing position and after the Parra game I thought Utai had it sewn up, didnt see the Roosters game though. I know people say he is too short under the high ball (tick), gets caught out in defence occassionally (tick) and is not a speedstar (tick) but those dirty yards he gets going off our line are invaluable for mine, against Parra he was carrying 4 of them and still made 15\. Early on in the season, particularly on the hot days at the start of the season he will be a huge asset at the back end of halves.

Tiger Zoe you said Reddy was one of the best defensive backs in the comp. Maybe when he gets a hand on them coz Aidan Guerra brushed past him and he made Mitch Aubusson look like Steve Renouf when he showed him the sideline and came up empty. I thought he was really disappointing.

Reddy falls into the same category as Lawrence. Spent most of last season out injured… Only played six games before tearing his pectoral. Can't expect him to bring his A-game back within a couple of trials, he'll only get better.

Didn't impress for Balmain last weekend. I was quite disappointed because he is one player who could really thrive this year if he puts the hard yards in. His involvement rate is not up to par at the moment so Ben really needs to work on his match fitness and rolling his sleeves up some more.
