Wests Tigers announce leadership group for 2022

Would of been happy with just naming joint captains Brooks/Douehi or Tamou/Douehi, with one taking the on field role until Adam returns.

Who does the ref approach when all 5 of them are playing at the same time?
Umm ..whoever is named captain that game..

This is not new..Every NRL Club has a leadership group..

The haven't named 5 Captains unlike Souff's a few years ago and us under Voldemort when we had 6..

Much ado about nothing..

Leadership groups happen all the time but you always have a set one or two club captains for game day, for a club that lacks leadership imagine having to rotate an announced captain every game each with their own personality and approach to the ref.

Robinson revealed a new wave of leaders that were voted into the club’s leadership group in a bid to groom potential captains of the future to support James Tedesco and Keary.

“The leadership is a real key one because a few years ago we had six guys that were leading the way,” Robinson said.

“Aubusson, Friend, Cordner, Waerea-Hargreaves and Cronk. Those guys were our leaders and then we lost them all except Jared,

“What we have now is Teddy and Luke and Jared as our captains. But we have a group coming through in Victor Radley, Nat Butcher, Lindsay Collins, Joey Manu and Angus Crichton.

“They are the next wave that need to step up and support those other leaders. We just had a vote the other day and those guys came in so we are looking forward to bringing on the next generation of leaders as well.”

Comparing us to the Roosters?
That’s a laugh

so if AD is in the group tick
if Brooks is in the group it is no good ?
please, the group is a good mix do think Hastings and Douhie are too alike in personalities so good choice to just have one of them.
Hopefully round 1 captains are Brooks and Peachey

I really hate this. I honestly don’t know why it’s so hard to choose a captain unless absolutely no player has shown leadership qualities during off-season. I know AD is the clear cut choice and is injured but surely you could find someone else in the interim at least.

I don’t think having five rotating captains will ever really work. We tried this under Ivan in 2018 if I recall and reverted to co-captains the next year.

Think that you are reading too much into it 4, as it's just a leadership group rather than 5 co-captains.

By the players, for the players and good to see Peachey and the relatively recent addition in Maumalo being recognised by their peers.
Still treating it like a local park footy club rather than a professional organisation.
Who gives a crap what the players think?
